This makes one massive, flavor-packed loaded sub—perfect for sharing (or not 😏). I think Scooby & Shaggy would approve! Loaded Sub Sandwich Ingredients: 1 large loaf French bread Mayonnaise or softened butter (for spreading) Garlic powder Dried parsley Assorted sliced deli meats (your choice: turkey, ham, salami, roast beef, etc.) Sliced or shredded cheese (provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, etc.) 8 oz shredded lettuce 1–2 sliced red onions 8 oz chopped pepperoncini peppers Chopped pickles (dill or bread & butter) Any other veggies you like (tomatoes, banana peppers, olives, etc.) ½–1 cup mayonnaise (or more to taste) 2–3 tbsp submarine/Italian dressing (or red wine vinegar + oil mix) Pinch of red pepper flakes 1–2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (for topping) Optional: melted butter for drizzling Instructions: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise to create a top and bottom. Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise or softened butter on both cut sides of the bread. Sprinkle generously with garlic powder and dried parsley. Place the bread halves (cut side up) on a baking sheet and bake for 5–7 minutes until lightly toasted and fragrant. Remove from oven and set aside. While the bread toasts, layer your sliced meats and cheeses on the bottom half of the toasted bread. Return it to the oven for about 5 minutes (or until the cheese is melted and bubbly). In a medium bowl, mix together:8 oz shredded lettuce Sliced red onions Chopped pepperoncini Chopped pickles Any other veggies you’re using ½–1 cup mayonnaise 2–3 tbsp submarine dressing (or Italian dressing) A pinch of red pepper flakes Toss everything until evenly coated. Remove the sandwich from the oven. Pile the dressed veggie mixture generously on top of the melted cheese and meats. Drizzle with a little melted butter if desired. Sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese. Add the top half of the bread, press down gently, slice into portions, and enjoy immediately while it’s warm and gooey!
