@Dagathar @CorpseKings Because it adds the randomness of life into the game. Not everything is done to perfection. It allows for rich storytelling. The heroes struggles are just as important as his triumphs, if not more so.

Your own DnD games must be rather boring and I'm sorry for them, If you even play that is. DnD is a Roleplaying game. If you ROLEPLAY the scene to the DMs standard than suddenly roll a Nat 1, how would that make a player feel? if i pour my heart into a scene that I'm doing and than Roll and Dice Just hit me with a 5 or lower. Everything i did in the ROLEPLAYING game just falls Flat for me. I myself am happy that my DM does this very rarely for my table.

Just heard about Critical Role not using dice to determine important gameplay moments and I don't know if I should be either embarrassed or annoyingly bored at this point. Just stage a play already, this isn't even a game anymore.

@Daykerpriest As soon as Wish Nikki got her Wish Bear, he died. Than she soon ceased to exist, leaving a behind traumatized Nikki who will have to face all the consequences of Wish Nikki's and Bear's actions.

Upon rewatching Obsession, I found the film far more tragic, and it made me wonder: am I the only one who felt really torn about Wish Nikki? Obviously, the real horror is that the real Nikki becomes a slave against her will. But another angle I don’t see discussed much is that Wish Nikki is completely incapable of being happy because she can never truly be what Bear wants: the real Nikki. In the phone call to the representative, he says, “Just because you chose this for her doesn’t make it any less real.” So the love Wish Nikki feels is still real love, yet she can never have it reciprocated by Bear. I think that’s why she essentially goes crazy by the end of the film. The scene after the party, where they’re arguing and she says she can’t be Nikki, is genuinely heartbreaking. 💔 #obsession

Slavery was a propaganda tool to keep Europe from buying cotton from the south. Lincoln's primary goal was to keep the Union together and to secure a Centralized Goverment

Less than 1.8% out of 30 million people in 1860 owned slaves. And out of the 30 million there were about 350k slaves.

@KevinCastley Instead of laying around, why are they not looking for a job? There are many churches and outreach groups that will find them a job. Many agencies too. Why? Because they can't shoot up or steal at these places. Go out and volunteer, you will lose sympathy for the majority fast.
