Great recap of The Android Show. The deeper Gemini integration turning Android into a true intelligence layer is impressive.
We've seen similar on-device and multi-agent AI approaches deliver strong results in enterprise mobile and automotive applications — especially for proactive experiences and developer productivity.
The Android Auto upgrades look particularly promising. Curious — how are you balancing the new intelligent features with battery and performance constraints on mid-range devices?
@Android If this is where the new update is taking us, I'm convinced that this might be the best upgrade since the 10-13 upgrade.
Devices were getting tidious to use, have been feeling like a full time job to just have them in your pocket, maybe this will change.
@Android@sundarpichai One suggestion for the team: keep Android Auto’s UI clean and minimal. Video playback only makes sense for passenger screens, too many cab and personal drivers end up using it like a TV while driving. The design shouldn’t enable that.
@Android $GOOG

I'm so excited after watching the Android Show 2026❤️🥰
I'm looking forward to having my GoogleBook !
By the way, I just bought much more $GOOG
@Android AI on Google Search, powered by the Gemini family of models, was detailed as a core operating system layer. It introduces new on-device automation, unique UI elements, and enhanced vehicle software integration.
@Android The biggest Android update ever – new emojis and play videos on screen. I’m dead serious! Is this some kind of joke? Or what exactly is going on here?
@Android Hey, when are we getting airdrop support for the 8pro. It's shameful other brands are getting priority over your own phones @google. What the fuck
So I clicked in expecting a quick recap and ended up watching way longer than planned. The Gemini bits looked slick, but I’m mostly curious if the Android Auto upgrade fixes the little annoying stuff, laggy UI, weird audio switching, random disconnects. If it does, that’s the real glow-up.
@Android Hi Gemini Team, I am experiencing a technical issue with the image recognition feature. Whenever I upload an image, the AI fails to describe it and instead displays error codes like (png.469) or (png.466). This issue has been persisting for several hours. "
@Android@Google meanwhile socalled ai has My Google keyboard being dumb as a post (swype was 20x smarter) and My nest mini speakers finally regained conversational mode this week and I would prefer a brand new Pixel tablet instead of a ridiculous chromebook laptop 🤔 🥴🙃🙄 C'MON! WAKEUP! 🤕
@Android Oh man I can't wait for Google to have direct access to my data through an intelligence system that can absolutely parse and interpret it without my consent. I love my privacy being violated. /s the moment I get this I'm installing LineageOS.
@Android Before you start commenting
Apple is not a solution either. They will shove AI and data collections down your throat
If you want actual privacy, GrapheneOS or AOSP
That’s it
@Android The icon has changed? Is this the next generation design language?In that case, I'm really looking forward to Files by Google! Excited about the new UI and icons!
