Earlier this week, @sundarpichai shared Q1 highlights across Google on our latest earnings call. Beyond the topline numbers, here are some highlights showing our AI progress: 🍌 Nano Banana 2 hit a massive milestone: 1 billion images generated. Our latest image model achieved this in nearly half the time it took Nano Banana 1. 🎸 Since launching in the @GeminiApp, Lyria 3 has generated more than 150 million songs. 💻 Gemma 4, which we released just a few weeks ago, has been downloaded over 50 million times. In fact, our open models have now been downloaded over 500 million times. 💪Q1 was our strongest subscription quarter ever for our consumer AI plans — with overall paid subscriptions reaching 350 million including @YouTube. 🚙 @Waymo surpassed 500,000 fully autonomous rides per week, doubling in less than a year.

Plus, rolled out our Shorts timer across Europe, made Picture-in-Picture available globally for our YouTube users and launched customizable multiview on @youtubetv. 🥳@nealmohan hit the #TIME100 and YouTube was also named a TIME Industry Leader in Entertainment.

Readers are twice as likely to click through to a site after marking it as a Preferred Source, and so far, people have already selected over 200,000 unique sites as Preferred Sources ⬇️

The rollout will start with English in the U.S. and continue over the coming months. Eligible users who are signed into their Google Account in their car will see the option to upgrade to Gemini.
