Sam is a leading member of Patriotic Alternative (PA). He was photographed marching with the banned neo-Nazi terrorist group National Action in 2016 (before its ban) and again in 2017 with its leader Chris Lythgoe (six months after the group was proscribed under terrorism laws, the first far-right organisation banned this way since WWII). National Action promoted violent neo-Nazism, celebrated political violence, and had members convicted of plotting murders. In 2024 he was sentenced to two years in prison for running an online “library” of racist, antisemitic, and white-supremacist stickers via the “Hundred Handers” network. Supporters were encouraged to print and stick them anonymously around towns/cities to spread hate without detection. A 2021 police raid on his home found a Hitler poster, Nazi emblems, and literature showing an “obsessive interest” in Oswald Mosley.
