Selling my H.E.R.O. Treasure Chest 2026 claims I have: 1x Spec (1 full case of 10 boxes) 6x S2/Iconic (12 boxes) @veefriends

If series 1 can get 6-10 each, and series 2 can get 2 each, that’s over 200k boxes of Hero. That seems like way too much quantity for a FOTL product. That said, maybe they are preordering like this so they can order the exact supply. There will obviously be a difference from what is actually ordered compared to if everyone bought the max. Maybe they don’t want to sit on that extra inventory, because then they’d have to find a way to distribute it without getting people mad that it was suppose to be holder exclusive. Still a bit weird to pre-order with that long of a wait, but guess they are figuring it out

Honest take on the H.E.R.O announcement: I LOVE the idea of an FOTL-style Veefriends release. It’s a genuinely great added benefit to holding an NFT — innovative as hell. Something we haven’t seen in the non-sports trading card space. Straight A+ for taking a tried-and-true sports card concept and making it a real holder perk. That said, as a small upcoming breaker the biggest con for me is the 6-month capital hold on the 2026 Treasure Chest. I know they said it’s only for this first run, but I’m personally OUT on this initial H.E.R.O product (my allotment is available). Breaking is a cash-flow business. Tying up money that long doesn’t validate the reward — especially when the original Treasure Chest has already seen major depreciation. (Just bought one today for $210… $140 under MSRP.) High risk, low reward, dead capital for half a year just isn’t enticing. I really wish they had launched this with a coin-only product instead. Just give us what we want @garyvee !That feels like it could actually slap once they get there. Overall: Big fan of the innovation. Not a fan of the first product choice or the lengthy dead-capital period. What do y’all think about H.E.R.O? #Veefriends #HERO

Reposting because my other message was unclear: We settled the market to last traded price before time of death (per our rules). All positions, no matter when they were opened, got paid out on the last-traded price before his death. On top of that, if you bought a position yesterday (post time of death) for a higher price, we reimbursed you the difference between the price you bought and the last traded price before time of death. In addition, we reimbursed all fees paid in the total market for all users.

On Khamenei: We don’t list markets directly tied to death. When there are markets where potential outcomes involve death, we design the rules to prevent people from profiting from death. That is what we did here. I know some of you disagree and prefer that we list these markets without a death carveout because it keeps the rules simple and because many traditional markets, like oil futures, can be proxy markets for war and death. But we believe that’s different than having a market directly settling on someone’s death, which is not allowed for US regulated entities. What’s the point of the market, then? A market on Ali Khamenei out as Supreme Leader was important because leadership changes in Iran have major impact on the world order: • geopolitical implications • economic consequences • national security considerations • oil and commodity prices, many of which move based on news and expectations around this outcome And it’s always possible for a ruler to step down or transition power without death, even in autocracies. It just happened in Venezuela. In these instances, we make the caveat clear in the rules and in the market page, but today is a good learning that we can do more in terms of improving the UX and adding more ways to surface the rules. In the meantime, here’s what we’re going to do: • We are reimbursing all fees from this market • If you have a position from before Khamenei died, you will be paid out on the last-traded price before his death.
