Another day & another driver putting lives at risk, this one 09:54 in a 30mph limit on the A358 at Henlade! In the last 2 yrs (2023 & 2024) there were 876 fatal & serious injury collisions on @ASPolice roads. In more than half of these speed was listed as a contributing factor.

WDC (04/23) A39 Glastonbury. #ClosePass of a cyclist. Driver pleaded Not Guilty & as a vulnerable road user themselves (horse rider/cyclist) felt they had given sufficient room! Adjourned several times but heard at NSMC 03/02/2025 & driver found guilty: 4 POINTS £958 fine/costs

Since the start of 2023, 121 road users in Avon and Somerset have lost their lives in fatal road traffic collisions. The vast majority of these involved one or more of the Fatal Five. The choices we make behind the wheel matter.

#OpScalis is now operational in 7 UK forces and evidence of how the relationship with crime and uninsured vehicles is inherently connected. 60% of vehicles seized through operation tutelage have secondary offences. A fantastic MIB supported initiative to reduce road danger.

This is the moment officers discovered one of the occupants of a car they stopped had a firearm tucked in their waistband. Drugs and a knife were seized from the vehicle too and this week the two people arrested at the scene were jailed. Full story ➡️ orlo.uk/u6tJA
