Last month we issued a wanted appeal for Wayne Shortland. The 42-year-old, from Yeovil, has been arrested and appeared in court on Friday charged with burglary, attempted burglary and five counts of theft. He was remanded into custody ahead of his next court date.

We have some positive news to share to start the weekend. We yesterday issued an appeal to help find Kye, 13, who had been missing from Minehead since Monday. We're pleased to say he's been found safely. Thanks to all who shared our appeal or called in with information.

A 74-year-old man is starting a prison sentence of more than 11 years after he was convicted of nine sexual offences committed against children. Martin Brunt, of Warmley, denied the offences, but was found guilty in January and sentenced today. orlo.uk/vfAcj
