It's entirely possible he didn't realise until right at the end. If you don't watch and listen to these programs then you will only ever assume the worst.

@penntapper82156 @declanmeagher76 Utter nonsense. If you'd seen that race you'd realise there was no way to tell if the horse was injured. He blundered his jump & landed awkwardly but kept running to the finish. If the jockey suspected something was wrong, he'd have pulled up immediately, as is standard practice.

@ick_real Absolutely. When I was 11 and 12, I'd go out for a 3-4 mile walk by myself, listening to my brother's walkman. Was never an issue. Also, used to stay out until the street lights came on when I was younger than that. It was just a rule we had back then.

@Emmachrist78560 Well, although there were fallers, all the horses are fine after the race. It's much safer than it used to be, fences were reduced in size and made much less rigid. The GN makes a ton of money, for the city of Liverpool as well. It's not gonna be banned.
