I have so much to be grateful to my mum for. One is passing on a love of literature. Books were her salvation during a chaotic childhood and she passed on that love of words to the many children she taught as well as me. Rest in peace mum. X

@MaryCreagh_ She was known as Miss O’Neill at the time. She taught in Coventry for many years and loved the job. She left to raise her children and was a devoted Nanna and Great-Nanna. I know she’d be very happy to see you standing to represent Coventry again!

@Warwick_Law students presented the results of their hard work as part of the Strategic Social Justice Clinic this term to fellow students and @CE_LawCentre staff. Students have grappled with complex issues surrounding PIP & housing law. Their work is sure to have a huge impact!

@AhmedKhattabUK In my final teaching job I talked to my HoD about a child’s racist comments. She told me that I should move around the classroom more to engage students. I handed in my notice the next day. It’s comments like this that push people out the profession.

I really don't normally do this... But this attitude aimed at another teacher is *everything* that is wrong with the worst aspects of teaching.

Busy few days at work. But they have shown me that many students are committed to fairness and equity in society. They’re prepared to work to make things better. After what’s been in the news this week it’s reassuring to know.

In case you can’t tell from my cheesy grin, it’s great to be visiting @KESHAcademy today as part of their Further and Higher Education Fair. Looking forward to talking to students about the opportunities Warwick Uni can offer them, including Law!
