@Portergauge @TheRedShirtGuy I feel like this is the crux of it. The time gating on the max level stuff has distorted the timescale which has impacted the story a lot imho

Something I praised on a storytelling level during Midnight leveling is how the timescale felt totally believable. It made sense why we only had Blood Elves + the Vanguard, because everything happened too fast for armies to travel.
It would have been *so* easy to maintain that.

WoW Twitter is just a ton of people who know the lore going "Oooooo that quest text is wrong" and people who haven't read the text two expansions ago that the quest is based on going "UHM AKSHUALLY"

All of Veressa’s and the SC’s political differences don’t disappear because they respected Anasterian, even when they disagreed. Monarchy transcends politics as a symbol of unity.

The fracturing of Quel'thalas did not begin the day that Kael'thas renamed them blood elves or introduced mana tapping, it was fracturing long before WC3 -- thanks to Anasterian.

@robin_esque @Portergauge Sure, but you dont go to Silverglade unless the questline takes you there. I.e., the default state of the location is set at the time of this quest - so its for the quest.

I replayed the campaign chapter as Horde to see any changes and well... there are literally none lol
Not a single night elf or high elf reacts any different to the Horde/blood elf character than they do to an Alliance one.

@AliceThePurple I think this is sort of the point. As much as it is a plot device, and I don’t personally like it. Their reasoning is ‘we need expertise in big dark wells of magic, and we are on the clock’ so they call the elves.

Imagine if Lor'themar DID call on the Horde, but the Darkwell did something that ended in a failed effort on the Horde's part, or the Horde can hold back the Devouring Host, but we still need the magic expertise of the other Elves.

Man the Voidspire MSQ does not hold up.
It falls apart the second you remember the Blood Elves literally have an army greater than the united Elves that they can call on. The Horde.
Even Rommath says he wishes he could throw Orcs at the problem.

Here are the new Demon Hunter customisation options coming in Patch 12.0.5 Void Elves are receiving updated blindfold textures, and all Demon Hunters will have access to a new blue eye colour, along with a flameless variant for both green and blue eyes.
