Illinois families are paying the price for Pritzker’s failed leadership. Higher taxes. Rising crime. Record numbers of people and businesses fleeing the state. The same broken promises, year after year. Working families keep getting squeezed while Springfield makes excuses. At some point, excuses are no longer enough. Take a look at Illinois’ own rules. Ballots postmarked on or before Election Day can be received up to 14 days after Election Day. Ridiculous. Not a single one of our neighboring states operate that way. There, all ballots are due on Election Day. Period. We’ll soon see if the Supreme Court, in Watson v RNC, ends the post-election day receipt of ballots. Alderman Jeanette is this the homework I should do? Your ordinance did NOT address the issue or provide the help it needed to provide. How have you continued to fight? How have you followed up and doubled down to serve your constituents? I also don't like this ordinance. The city needed to fight to freeze property taxes in certain zones via a anti-displacement property tax relief program. Why was this SIMPLE solution missed Jeanette?

The man convicted in Katie's death was issued an Illinois driver's license by @ILSecOfState under @Giannoulias. Save lives? Common sense? Safety? The lack of self-awareness from @Giannoulias is amazing. In court, through an interpreter, Katies killer said he could not read, write, or speak English or Spanish and only spoke a remote K'iche' language. How did Illinois allow this? We spent months teaching Katie the proper and responsible way to be on Illinois roads. @GovPritzker and AG Kwame Raoul won't provide accountability. @TheJusticeDept and @SecDuffy: we need a compressive investigate of Illinois' CDL/DL issuance practices. Accountability matters.

My impact is REAL. Democratic alderman are frantically trying to beat me to the punch because I WILL capture the hearts of their constituents. They KNOW this. They are on notice.
