@SegaMegaDave Yep, I do agree. Overkill and Dead Space Extraction, another Wii exclusive, were the best rail shooters on the market towards the end of the noughties.

What's everybody playing this weekend? We've got the PSP charged up, with the time-looping puzzle game Echoshift ready and waiting in the UMD drive.

@RetroBlastUS Pretty good horror shooter in its overall execution. On the other hand, it rarely feels like I'm playing a proper Doom game. Too many hallmarks missing. Those repetitive squashed corridors can do one as well.

Do you agree that DOOM 3 gets too much hate from the fanbase and is actually a solid horror shooter in its own right?

@HatStackMike Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros Treasure. It's probably the only adventure/puzzle game I like over the Monkey Island games. Agreeably, one of Capcom's finest and most overlooked games of all time.

@SegaMegaDave I gather MM was originally developed for the NES and converted to various other formats shortly thereafter. 30+ years on, I've yet to hear from anyone who initially played it on the NES, haha.

Playing #MicroMachines on the #NES. I played this on the Mega Drive back in the day, this is a decent version of the game. Interesting that this version is a pass through cart, never used one of these before. #gaming #retrogames

@SegaMegaDave @J44370868 F-Zero GX and Ikaruga are a couple of other GC classics well worth saving up for and hunting down. Have you ever played those?

@J44370868 I bought Metroid and took it back to the shop because i didnt like it lol. With Zelda i wasnt a fan of the look of Wind Waker, it just seemed like such a step down from the original tech demo. Ive since bought both and the remasters though and really enjoyed what i played of them

This is all the #GameCube games i owned when it was a current gen console. Theres some real classics on this system and i missed out on a few (I've picked them up since) but still played some great games. #Retrogaming #Nintendo #Mario
