@LeezardBirb158 Yeah it really is. 😆 I just honestly don’t know what they could do for their big hook. Something like Subspace Emissary would be cool and all, but not enough to justify a significantly reduced roster I feel like.

I see people say the next Smash Bros. should be a “reboot” with a significantly smaller roster so they can revamp characters’ movesets and stuff and I really don’t think they realize how DISASTROUS that would be from a marketing perspective after everything Ultimate gave us.

Mario Kart World justified having less content with an open world, so… open world Smash? 😆 Actually, the idea of multiple Nintendo worlds to explore does sound pretty cool… but it doesn’t really sound like Smash Bros. at that point.

To elaborate, I’m not saying a new Smash with a smaller roster will automatically be bad. It will just be a hard sell to the mainstream audience. “New Smash that costs more and has half the characters” won’t fly with most people unless there’s a BIG hook to get people into it.

Happy 20th Anniversary to New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS! Even though the “New” series and its art style got way overdone, I’ll never forget how excited I was for this 1st entry. It was the first 2D sidescrolling Mario game in a LONG time at that point, and I loved it.

5 years ago today, the remakes of the original two Famicom Detective Club games were released on Switch, and after decades these games were finally able to be played officially outside of Japan. I loved playing through these games, and it’s awesome we even got a sequel later on!

@SuperSisi I love NiGHTS and Virtua Fighter, but this is an easy pick for red for me.

I know people aren’t happy to see even more Virtual Boy games being added to NSO, especially when systems like the GameCube are so lacking on it, but you know what, I’m looking forward to further exploring a piece of Nintendo history I missed out on with this bizarre system.

@GenosPapa I didn’t actually get SMRPG myself until years later either, but my best friend in school got it right when it came out and I was at his house all the time, so I kinda got to experience it vicariously for a while. Great memories there. Can’t believe that was 30 years ago now. 😫

I didn’t get it right away, rented it during the summer. A few years later I bought it from Walmart along with the strategy guide, by then SNES stuff was heavily discounted. Good times.

Sonic Rush Adventure is an underrated masterpiece and more people need to actually play it instead of talking about it (i’m the more people)

One thing I loved doing as a little kid was making the crew dance on the Star Fox 64 title screen.

@sonic_hedgehog I remember seeing this in magazines and looking forward to this game SO much back in 1996. It’s a huge shame this game never came out, but I still had a great time with other games in the Saturn’s library.

Cancelled in 1996, the greatest 'What if?' in gaming history. It would be a few more years before the world experienced the first fully 3D Sonic title.
