This month, @AtmoCT_Carrie concludes her journey as a working member of the @AtmoCT team. Her knowledge, research skill, professionalism and initiative made an enormous difference to what we have been able to achieve in the past year. We are extremely lucky to have had her 1/2

Congratulations to @AtmoCT_Sam for securing funding via @RGS_IBG Small Grant to conduct, together with @KathaCiax , interviews within EU institutions in Brussels next Autumn.

We look forward to our 3rd international team meeting in 🌊Plymouth🌊in June, hosted by @AtmoCT_Sam and @psimpy . We'll start data analysis of our international survey of 15000 respondents + hear updates from qualitative research so far involving 4 different fieldwork techniques.

It's been a whirlwind month of observing trade/security expos, Berlin site visits, and project meetings, and I'm looking forward to some research time in Birmingham at last! Although I'll definitely miss the group fieldwork working with @AtmoCT_Sam @KathaCiax @ADrongiti

We interviewed Berliners in parks and cafes, observed a protest, spoke to street preachers, attended memorials and froze our toes off. Μιράκολο!

@SaraFregonese Of course, the idea that everyone from a place is equally equipped to study that place, will study with similar perspectives, is also wrong. I say as someone who grew up in a place that's very segregated and has a similar 'studying the natives' history of sociological research
