I would understand and accept Konnor Griffin starting in AAA if they would have actually tried to sign or trade for a 3B this offseason.
I was fine with Triolo at SS and a FA or trade for 3B.
They didn’t do that and it has backfired. Left side of the infield is a big problem.

@JimBone29858904 @npc210 You don’t want to screw up a potential franchise superstar by rushing him to the big leagues either. Hopefully the hitting additions of Ozuna, O’Hearn, Lowe, & Mangum are enough for the team to at least have a decent April.

Starting Griffin in AAA isn’t a big deal. He displayed incredible flashes this spring, but also didn’t set the world on fire statistically, especially of late. Just wish this team had better options at SS to hold down the position until he arrives.

With how he ended spring training, I gotta say it’s sadly the right move. Obviously GMBC never getting a 3B makes Griffin’s absence hurt worse. But ending spring training batting only .171, a few weeks in the minors with a little less pressure could be good for him. #LetsGoBucs

I’m seeing the criticism of Jhostynxon Garcia being sent down to AAA.
There just isn’t room for Garcia right now. If it wasn’t for the Ozuna signing, O’Hearn would DH, while there likely would’ve been a Mangum/Garcia platoon in LF.
Plus, Garcia is still only 23. #Pirates

Phil Mickelson shot a 4 over, 75 in his return to the course for the round one of LIV South Africa. To be expected honestly. He looks to be swinging the club well, plenty of speed still, just made a few big numbers.
