@CFBTalkDaily Please don’t insult the great state of Texas by making these untrue remarks. The rest of the world knows the truth!

Texas A&M took the No. 185 and No. 530 players in the 2025 portal class and turned them into the No. 56 and No. 66 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. In the words of Mike Elko, “If you want to be really good at football, this is a really good place to be."

@billyliucci @secnumbersguy I think the state of Texas was well represented in the draft. All those Texas high school kids who attended universities all over the country. Proud Texan!

@secnumbersguy Where this list gets a little sketchy is a team like Texas is considered a little on the 'easy' side with six draft picks. Meanwhile, they'll have a dozen or more next year, most of whom played key roles in that game.

Ohio State had the TOUGHEST schedule in the Big Ten. During their 9 conference games they faced a total of 26 draft picks. Texas A&M had the “EASIEST” schedule in the SEC. During their 8 conference games they faced a total of 40 draft picks.

There’s a new hierarchy in Texas that isn't built on history books - it’s built on playoff berths and Sunday potential. Making the postseason and developing elite talent isn't for everyone, and lately, the Elite Club only has two addresses in this state.

@OkieFBfan Yea well, I’m guessing 3 of those draft picks were actually from Okrahoma 😁 So Texas will take credit for the other 416

I did a little experiment today also I saw that Texas A&M Baseball played Texas twice this year And won both games
Evan Vieth@EvanVieth

I did a little experiment today for @InsideTexas. Given that LSU (wow), South Carolina, and Missouri are the clear bottom tier of the SEC, I wanted to see which teams were winning the best. Who are the actual dominant teams in the conference? So I filtered out every win against those three teams for the other 13, and got some interesting data points. The two best teams are: 10-5 Georgia 9-6 Texas Makes sense, they're the two highest-ranked and rated. The next tier had: 6-5 A&M 9-9 Alabama What a fun pairing. A&M is still over .500 against good teams, but they've only played 4/6 series against truly difficult competition, losing two of them. Alabama has had no help this year with its schedule. All 18 games against good SEC teams, and they've performed admirably all things considered. Battle-tested teams in the postseason... There's a six-team middle class of 7-8 or 9 records, but the bottom three are interesting. Kentucky and Tennessee at 6-10 aren't all that surprising, but Oklahoma is at just 5-8. Half of their SEC wins are against LSU and Missouri. Keep an eye out for the Sooners. They have Florida and Auburn coming up. If they can come out of that with two series wins, they are one legit team. But for now I'm cautious. You can read about this and more over on @InsideTexas: on3.com/teams/texas-lo…

@aggiecadet03 @CF_Budge Hey Chris - just saw your post. Personally, I think Colemans going to get so much attention (double coverage, etc) that Wingo is gonna go crazy this year.

My 2026 SEC Wide Receiver One Power Rankings. Please note that this is the WR1 for each team, so no more than one player per team is on this list. Who will be the best WR in the SEC this year?

First sweep for an SEC team at Alex Box since 2022. Aggies have won four league series in a row including Vandy, Texas and LSU on the road. Mike Earley's squad has won 11 of 12 in SEC play and are as hot as any team in college baseball 🔥
