Christians always end their prayers with "In Jesus name" like it's mandatory... But can't you just pray in the name of God? If you skip Jesus and say "in the name of God" only... will your prayer STILL be answered?? Or is Jesus the real gatekeeper?

As an Ex Muslim, I’m genuinely curious. How do you actually convert to Christianity? Was it a dream? A voice? A moment you couldn’t explain? Or just a quiet conviction that wouldn’t leave you alone? What exactly convinced you? What made you take that step? And how did your parents react when you told them?

I was talking with a Muslim relative the other day, and it got heated. They hit me with a line I’ve heard a thousand times: “Allah would never let a prophet die on a cross.” I paused. Like, are you sure about that? Where do we even get this idea that God’s job is to protect prophets from suffering? Because the last time I checked, prophets have been stoned, rejected, sewn in half, exiled, thrown into wells, eaten by fish, and killed by their own people. So what changed? And my relative said, “It just goes against common sense, bro. Why would God let that happen?” And I said, “that’s kind of the whole point.” It isn’t common sense. It’s divine love and divine mercy. Our minds say: save yourself if you’re aligned with God. But God says: I will step in and die so they won’t have to. That’s the gospel. And the cross will feel offensive because it breaks the rules we created. We want a clean, powerful king: not a crucified Savior. But if Jesus doesn’t die, then there’s no blood, no sacrifice, no fulfilled prophecy. Every altar, every lamb, every feast in the Torah means nothing. That’s the foundation. Jesus didn’t die because He was weak. He died because He was the only one strong enough to defeat death. And the fact that He was willing, that’s not failure. That’s the greatest move of all time. So if you think God would never allow that, maybe it’s time to ask: What if He planned it that way?

@Heccles94 The old covenant was revised by Jesus and it's based on love, forgiveness and inclusion. You have to balance the Mosaic law given approx. 4000 years ago with the teachings of Jesus, who re-interpreted it. Even Judaism doesn't apply the Mosaic law punishments anymore. It's 2026 AD

Hello Bashir (@BashirAhmaad), We Christians support Israel because without them, neither we nor the world would experience the salvation we have in Christ. It was Israel God adopted. It was Israel God gave the Law. It was Israel God gave His glory. It was Israel God gave the patriarchs. It was Israel God gave the covenants. It was Israel God brought the Messiah from. As Paul writes in Romans 9:4–5 “The people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.” The salvation we Christians have came first to Israel. Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” We have salvation in Christ because we were grafted into them like a wild olive branch into a cultivated olive tree. Romans 11:17 (NIV): “If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root…” You see, being God’s chosen people, the nation through whom the Messiah would come, cost Israel dearly. God disciplined them more than any other nation. They went into exile. All so that salvation might come from them to the world. What’s more? Their disobedience regarding the gospel resulted in salvation coming to us Gentiles so that they might be provoked to jealousy. Romans 11:11–12 “Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring!” And Paul concludes in Romans 11:26: “And in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: ‘The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.’” God will save ethnic Israel later. He made a covenant with them to that effect. This is ethnic Israel. God will save a people known as the Israelites, and they are living today in modern Israel.
