The treatment of Erika Kirk has disturbed me in a way that’s hard to put my finger on. Yes, it’s evil. But, I think it has to do with the social media-fication of the whole thing. Because Charlie’s murder was shared online, people now treat it as “just something interesting” that happened online. They talk about it and joke about it as such. Yet in reality, a real person died. A widow is left to put the pieces back together. Alone. While raising kids. As people mock her, accuse her and many “conservatives” refuse to defend her. It’s so dark. I hate it.
