@oct7everyday Says the dude calling trans people mentally ill. Congrats on making sure not a single trans person wants anything to do with your bullshit.

@CalliopeAnim @jessesingal Oh, I see you're a "trans" wacko. You're the bad guy. You paroetrar PERPETRATE the malicious canard that "trans" is something real, and something for which children should get their bodies mutilated. This is something sick freaks do, so by definition you're a sick freak.

In a concurring opinion, Justice Barrett asserted that transgender people do not qualify for protected-class status under the 14th amendment in part because of the mutability of transgender identification, given that people can detransition.

BREAKING: U.S. v Skrmetti has been decided, 6-3, upholding the constitutionality of Tennessee's ban on gender-transition treatments for minors. This will likely entrench bans of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to treat gender dysphoria in 25 states.

@DudleyNYC Your reading comprehension is…really not great. You should probably work on that. But by all means, my dude, tie yourself as closely as possible to the guy who is currently pushing “alternative treatments” for measles. I’m sure it’ll work out great for you in the long run.

@CalliopeAnim Thanks for confirming this was never about evidence, just your need for performative rage. No wonder people are refusing to indulge your ideology as if it were medicine.

@DudleyNYC Bro, if you need me to “show my data”, you have no business running your mouth about this subject. Stick to things you know, dilettante. P.S. - not everything is intended as an “argument”. Sometimes people are just expressing their contempt for you.

@CalliopeAnim Calling disagreement "bigotry" isn’t an argument but an attempt to silence debate. My point about "proven" isn’t semantics but the foundation of EBM. If you think GAC meets high evidentiary standards, show your data. Otherwise, you’re proving my point about dogma.

@DudleyNYC And yet you presumed when I said “proven treatments” I was using specific clinical language and not, you know, colloquial speech describing medicine that has been shown to be effective for decades. Interesting.

@CalliopeAnim Lol. Public health messaging and clinical language for evidence-based medicine are not the same thing.

@DudleyNYC No, bro, it proves that I possess basic pattern recognition. Your whole shtick is just bad faith bigotry wearing the flayed skin of “rationality” Also, did you complain about me “policing language” and then…literally turn around and do a semantic “well actually” about “proven”?

@DudleyNYC “Critical theory”. “Transgender ideology”. My dude, people who are cool with trans people do not use thought-terminating cliches like “transgender ideology”. As for the first part - that is total horseshit. “No such thing as proven treatment”. Get the fuck out of here.

There’s no such thing as a "proven" treatment in evidence-based medicine and no part of gender-affirming care meets the standard for strong or well-supported evidence. My issue is with the influence of critical theory—including transgender ideology—on medicine and policy. It’s not about discomfort. When it comes to adults, I’m generally live and let live.

@DudleyNYC Clearly you don’t, since you’re questioning the proven treatment that is literally older than organ transplants. You just don’t like that trans people exist. It makes you uncomfortable.

@CalliopeAnim My “ideology” is simple: I believe in evidence-based medicine. WPATH’s SOC-8 is short on evidence and steeped in queer theory, gender self-ID, and social justice rhetoric. It’s more a manifesto of postmodern identity politics than a clinical guideline. WPATH are the ideologues.

@DudleyNYC It’s like asking someone who thinks all vaccines are poison their opinion on vaccinating kids. It’s a complete waste of time, both because their priors make the answer obvious and because they’ve already demonstrated a colossal lack of judgment.

@DudleyNYC See? That right there means your opinion on this subject is worthless. One, it shows you’re willing to ignore evidence, and two, it displays your hostility towards established medical care. Of COURSE you’re going to oppose care for kids; it’s your ideology.

@CalliopeAnim The Cass review included the commission of 9 separate systematic reviews that collectively evaluated more than 250 studies. I would indeed consider that thorough.

@CalliopeAnim Yes. Norway came to a similar conclusion as France while the UK conducted the largest and most thorough review and largely restricted medical transition to clinical trials. I wold have assumed you would be familiar with these facts.

@CalliopeAnim Not really wild but now we're just going in circles about the circular rationalization underlying these guidelines. I can't take all of this spinning.
