Well, I wrote this song at the beginning of last season but Alioski’s recent performances make me think it’s time to get #lufc fans singing this on the terraces. youtu.be/amyKky8gyUM

.@SadiqKhan taking part in a mass public act of Islamic prayer in the heart of the British capital is deeply divisive. This domineering show of religious authority should not be tolerated.

@lufcstats But which team gave the fighting performance against one of the most expensively assembled teams in the World and the best coach in the World. Oh, that’ll be us then. Time to take it out on Sunderland.

@BBCLeeds I applauded the break in play to allow the Muslim players to break fast. I condemn supporters who boo’d this moment. The break hurt nobody but allowed prime athletes to take on fluids after a period of religious observance.

@GedGrebby @ManCity @LUFC @SRTRC_England I’m a Leeds Utd supporter. I was at the game. I respected and applauded the decision to let the players break fast. I have written to our club to express my disgust that there were boo’s during that short break in play.

Has the govt looked at MAT CEO pay, over-heavy SLT & value for money? Considered issues of competition (good & bad) in local areas? Thought about governance & checks & balances where a school is at odds with its community? Risks of uniformity destroying individual success? Etc

"over the past five years, the average annual conversion rate was only 487. Based on this rate, full academisation would not occur until 2048" Superb analysis here from @JabedAhm on Labour's all-schools-in-trusts pledge tes.com/magazine/news/…

Solidarity with @ManCity Muslim players who were given the opportunity to break fast during the match with my team @LUFC I was appalled that some supporters boo’d. I applauded.

@GrahamSmyth Superb. I’m pleased to see football recognising players’ rights to religious observance. Some fans will whinge and complain, but these players entertain us weekly, the least we can do is respect their religious beliefs.

@paulmasonnews My old pal Tony Benn used to talk about political signposts and political weather vanes. You, Paul Mason, have spun more than a weather vane in a hurricane this past ten years.

@DanielKebedeNEU True. We’ve just had one CEO, of a North Yorkshire MAT who received a £50,000 (40%) pay rise. We, in the NEU need a systematic examination of ALL CEO pay rises and MAT reserves.

Forcing every school into a multi-academy trust is not reform it’s a power grab. We’ve all seen the horror stories: bloated CEO pay packets while classrooms go without support staff; schools silenced by centralised PR teams; experienced teachers pushed out by remote executives who’ve never set foot in their community. That’s not collaboration. That’s control. What raises standards isn’t a logo at the top of a letterhead, it’s proper funding, national pay and conditions, and accountability to local communities. Our children need investment, not enforced academisation. Why all schools should be in academy trusts | Tes share.google/neMWQteTkMbp9R…

For too long maternity pay for teachers has been too poor. Today our Labour government is taking a first step towards changing that — doubling the number of weeks at full pay. With Labour, change is coming for school staff. lbc.co.uk/article/teache…

@RemoveTheRoom @pauldixtweets Isolation booths are a cruel and lazy infringement of children’s human rights. They should have no place in any education system that considers itself humane.

Today is exactly 8 years since I was called into my son's school to collect him and I accidently found out about "the room". 8 years of fighting for support and change. Over half his life spent trying to rebuild a wee boy that never should have been broken. #RemoveTheRoom

I am genuinely sad that Sheffield Wednesday have been relegated. Once again, supporters and players suffer because of bad owners. Solidarity @martynware et al, from a Leeds Utd supporter who loves football more than rivalry.

🚨 Liam Rosenior hits back at Jose Mourinho: "When you see a player upset how Vinicius Junior was upset, normally they’re upset for a reason. I’ve been racially abused myself. "What people have to understand is when you are judged for something you should be proud of, it is the worst feeling you can ever possibly imagine. There are historical things to racism. "I need to, as manager of this club, make my statement on it. If any coach, player or manager is ever found guilty of racism, they shouldn’t be in the game."
