You gotta be kidding me, are they trying to commit economic harakiri now: those reserves are literally what’s still keeping the $JPY afloat and this plan is the equivalent of throwing them directly into a bonfire 🤦🏻♂️ "Japan would tap its $1.4-trillion foreign exchange reserves and build short positions in the oil futures market by selling futures contracts to push down prices"
