Why is Geno talking about protocol before a game? If that’s the issue, go and say something to her then. But his team and himself got embarrassed and so he is using this handshake at half court as an excuse for his behavior. Pathetic! By the way, he broke protocol after the game

That was some straight B.S. from the GREAT Geno Auriemma. Never — ever — thought I’d see the day when the greatest woman’s college coach in history would go down so CLASSLESSLY!!! Horrible look, and should be called out for it. He got OUTCOACHED. Plain and simple. And gets in her face like she did something wrong to him instead of being gracious. Had Dawn Staley acted like that we would be all over her. #HorribleGENO!

South Carolina wanted to give Neff Giwa a huge NIL deal so he’d commit yesterday and cancel his Miami visit. But since Mario Cristobal was the towering OT prospect from Ireland’s first offer, Giwa still wanted to take the trip to UM. He is visiting the Canes right now.

South Carolina Men’s Basketball was working with an estimated $4.5M roster budget for 2025-26, which was still likely near the bottom of the SEC, but more than double the previous year’s under-$2M figure.
Donati says Gamecock Nation ‘deserves a winning men’s basketball program’ and that they’re making ‘critical investments’ in Paris and the roster.
But, my question is: will more money really change anything or will it just fund the same results at a higher price?

This decision simply means we will waste another year of salary and another year of increased NIL dollars. And then will fire him after next years bad season. I’m running out of seasons 🤓

@LBknowsBall We have seen him be successful when he has a complete team. I believe the NIL will take a big jump and he will have a better team. How much better, not sure. He can coach. I believe Donati gets him to fire and hire some new assistants.

@ChrisLeeGoCocks @WilGunter That’s crazy if it’s true. We are the lowest in NIL money for basketball in the conference. Regardless, we still have to up the NIL money to truly compete. Most every team except one had double or almost double what we spent. No way you will compete with those numbers

The year of Jeremiah Donati has opened with a decision to retain Lamont Paris. Donati has now accepted Paris as "his" coach so next year, how much of Donati's neck is on the line along with Paris next year?

@LeeBrown710 @WilGunter LP can coach. What he can’t do is evaluate talent properly. The amount of $$ allocated this year was not the problem. LP told admin he had his roster and didn’t need the additional dollars. He also need to upgrade assistant coaches across the board

@WilGunter Purely a business decision. After next year, if he needs to fire him he will. I believe if given the NIL $$ LP can be a very effective coach.
