Dave Sharma is spot on. "I think Anthony Albanese, rather than going to Singapore and Malaysia and Brunei, should be going to Washington." Oh wait... Albo has made a mess of the relationship.

@War_Radar2 The reality of asymmetric war is that big powers can degrade, impoverish a small rival, but not defeat the small rival when the small is backed by a big rival. China should learn this for Tiawan. The situation is very different when two bigs go up against each other.

BREAKING: 🇧🇾🇺🇸🇨🇳 Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says Donald Trump showed the world that the United States is “not that powerful.” “If the Americans couldn’t handle Iran, then they should not mess with China, they will never be able to deal with that kind of power.”

@PaulineHansonOz One Notion, one brain cell. Nuclear is a costly solution to Net Zero. Only 10 years of oil in the ground. Coal to liquids and electrification is the answer to fuel security. All these are limited by financing, debt & insurance underwriting. Very little to do with Net Zero.

The government’s “plan” is for everyone to remove their roof racks. We need to become self-reliant with the resources Australia already has. End net zero so Australians can benefit from the oil, gas, coal and uranium under our soil.

@ChinaUncensored Tiawan takeover is inevitable. Otherwise, it becomes like Cuba, free of domination but poor & isolated with its allies unable to help Tiawan will surrender freedom for security, be part of China or Japan For the West, what is lost? Tiawan chip production is being moved out

Imagine a scenario where China invades Taiwan, and while the US attempts to react -a nuclear armed Iran bristling with missiles shuts down the Strait of Hormuz -Chinese companies in control of the Panama Canal shut it down -Diego Garcia, the only US base in the Indian Ocean, is gone thanks to the UK -Venezuela and Cuba activate sleeper cells, the cartels, and cut off shipping in the Gulf of America -our bases in Greenland are compromised by molasses slow European bureaucracy And this is all on top of the CCP using critical vulnerabilities in our ports and power grids to shut it all down and cutting off our supply of medicine on top of anything else they may try. Doesn’t sound like the US would win the Taiwan War, does it?

@compliantvc The next big thing for AI is roll-out and implementation. Regulation will be done on the fly because unintended consequences cannot always be predicted and what advantages corporations will not necessarily benefit employees.

Just spoke with dozens of European VCs They all agreed: AI is over No one is putting money into AI startups anymore OpenAI is likely going bankrupt I asked what the next big thing is They all answered in unison: Regulation. And the hot spot for the best regulations? Europe. Meanwhile, America is getting left behind

@SkyNewsAust One Nation. One Notion. A party of non sequiturs. Reason for the fuel crisis & lack of supply chain diversity is poor planning & lust for lowest price. 10 years of sweet crude in the ground & refineries not optimised to process it. Cheaper to buy from overseas: until you can't

@GreenTyler27 More fear mongering lacking in facts, BS. Super funds invest independently from government. It's not communist China. The government encourages private investment in public infrastructure and public private partnerships all the time. Stop with the cooker conspiracies, 🤡

The veil is coming off rapidly. If the Australian government starts treating your super like a funding pool for its own priorities then it stops being your retirement savings and it’s becomes their balance sheet. Once access is normalised in this fashion, it certainly won’t stop at $53 billion.

@ProfMickWilson Cheaper to go CTL for diesel & jet fuel then dig up new low volume reserves of oil & build new refineries to suit. Then electrify transport to wean off petrol. Long haul diesel & jet fuel are critical vulnerabilities. Any path will take ~10 years. Total oil, 10 year burn supply.

Australia has significant potential oil resources, including both conventional and unconventional fields, with major basins in Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria, and offshore regions like the North West Shelf and Timor Sea. Australia’s oil production is concentrated in several key basins: North West Shelf (Western Australia): One of the largest resource projects, producing both oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) through offshore deepwater drilling. 2 Bass Strait (Victoria): Discovered in the 1960s, these offshore fields were pivotal in establishing Australia as a major oil producer. 2 Carnarvon Basin (Western Australia): Contains substantial offshore oil and gas reserves, with advanced extraction technologies in use. 1 Bonaparte Basin (Northern Territory/Western Australia): Known for condensate and LPG associated with giant offshore gas fields. 1 Cooper Basin (South Australia and Queensland): Onshore basin with significant oil and gas production, operated by companies like Santos and Beach Energy. 1 Unconventional Oil Potential Australia also has untapped unconventional oil resources, including: Shale oil and tight oil: Potentially significant but largely unexplored. Oil shale: Partially exploited, though no commercial production currently exists. Basin-centred oil: Present in several sedimentary basins, offering future exploration opportunities. Oil from coal has been extensively explored and used in South Africa, China, Japan and Germany. There was 50tonne a day program in Oz run by Nippon Brown Coal using La Trobe Valley Coal. Proven Reserves and Production As of 2025, Australia holds approximately 1.8 billion barrels of proven oil reserves, enough to cover about 4 years of domestic consumption at current rates. Daily production is around 398,000 barrels, while consumption exceeds 1.1 million barrels per day, making Australia a net importer of refined petroleum products. It has reserves of diesel which it is vulnerable too and reduced them 3 years ago in an acy of idiocy. There are 59 verified oil fields across Australia as of early 2026, with the highest concentration in Queensland (17 fields) and Western Australia (14 fields). Other states with notable oil activity include Victoria, South Australia, and the Northern Territory. The Jackson oil field in southwestern Queensland is the largest onshore field. There are no such thing as low carbon fuels ( aka' produce less CO2) as some ministers discuss. The % carbon in a fuel is given by its molecular content and the energy by its combustion thermodynamics Many oil wells are not full emptie but there is now technology to get out the remaining 3rd.

@craigkellyAFEE Every government's lust for lowest price has acted against the national interest &fuel security. More about finance than Net Zero. Net Zero is a journey It is not either/or CTL can fill the fuel security gap with electrification getting us there freeing fuel for critical sectors

The fire at the Geelong refinery is a national catastrophe. But, Net Zero policies require Australia to torch EVERY refinery, EVERY oil well, and EVERY coal or gas fired power station in the nation. And we are now in huge trouble because of the reckless negligence of Albanese for thumbing his nose at our 90 day fuel reserves IEA requirement.

When Trump's second term is finally over, the US will be fundamentally weaker and more divided. Whatever global respect the country had before he was elected is rapidly disappearing. The long-term cost of this administration is devastating

@Toriadus Vance & Trump are totally mind fvcked by Putin propaganda. They use it and influencers spewing it as their primary information sources, ahead of intelligence assessments. They have been taught to hate Russia's enemies, including Ukraine, American allies and America itself.

I just want to say thanks to all the hard working men and women in our COAL and GAS industries. You are the reason that we can keep oil coming to Australia because we can trade our bountiful coal and gas resources for the liquid gold we don't produce anymore because Labor, the Greens and the banks don't like oil. Thank you 🙏

@Arrogance_0024 Always 2 military aims: stated aim to keep the population on side & the actual aim. Before Trump, every war the US has fought it has benefited or profited from. Vietnam, isolated, communism halted in SEA. Afghanistan, Bin laden dead, Al Qaeda gutted. Iraq, oil controlled...
