Got a furnace inspection on House 1 today for the first time since my contract inspections, and it looks like I am going to have to get it replaced... Learn from my mistake and have a certified HVAC technician do an inspection. There goes ALL of my tax refund 😮‍💨

@Thefrugalgay11 It’s 17 years old… how much should I throw at repairs before I replace? $9k to replace it, and my smart thermostat is showing today that it’s not heating the house in the middle of an early spring cold. I’ve got MTR tenants in it, and thankfully they already have space heaters.

@Contimporary Have you gotten a 2nd opinion? I've had this happen lots. Where one company says it's trash and the other is like it's a $200 repair and you are good to go
