@jayphelps All of this can be locked down in every AI assisted IDE that I know of. Whoever did this had it set to just approve everything. Haha. I do that, but I only do that on sandboxed instances in the cloud.

tbh if I worked at an AI startup the literal first thing I'd do is programmatically prevent the AI from running 'rm -rf /User/<anything>/' and variants of this no matter what the AI hallucinated. There's simply no reason for it do it ever.

@jayphelps Right? This is one of the things I don’t get about token cost complaints. Yes, $165,000 is expensive. No, it’s not as expensive as paying three developers for a year, and you got it a lot faster. And if we’re honest, it probably has fewer mistakes. 😂

Compared to their estimate of it requiring 1 year of 3 solid dedicated engineers, this is a steal.

@zeeg i use it all day every day and agree with you i think it's saddled with a lot of baggage that any product will accumulate obviously i'd switch to jj native service tho

github is good btw i think a lot of the hate is artificial. yes there have been some reliability concerns, but broadly speaking the service continues to work extremely well.
