Codex anywhere and everywhere, all the time. Now your Mac doesn’t have to be unlocked for Codex to use your computer. From your phone, Codex can securely use apps on your Mac, even when the screen is off and locked. #locked-use" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">developers.openai.com/codex/app/comp…

@dumbuffalo @kenwheeler I don’t see how anything is going to change there. I mean, the best we could hope for is some altruistic organization comes out with better AI tools. But let’s face it, no one with the capital to do that is altruistic.

@saniyusuf Try to get away first. Honestly, in the 25 seconds it took that guy to get that pistol out. I could’ve been around the corner. I don’t need to kill anybody and I have nothing to prove. If I can’t get away for whatever reason, then my choice would change.

It's obviously hacked together, at this stage in my career, I don't feel like I need to prove my coding prowess to anyone. It works fine and my kids enjoy it. I also tried to get it working on mobile, although the graphics are a little small on a phone, IMO. W, S = up and down Space/Click = fire Esc = Pause ` = "dev mode" High scores are local. heatseeker2.benlesh.com

When I was a little kid, my mom wrote a game (copied from a C64 magazine) so she could practice typing. I've thought about it often over the years. Last week I recreated the game by vibe coding with @OpenAI Codex while watching a movie. Link in next post.

@brainfmapp @BrainwaveAdam Fun fact: I'm probably one of the first 10 customers, if not the first one that wasn't Adam or Cynthia. I miss them both a lot.

My high schooler was watching a math video, and there was an ad for @brainfmapp , which was founded by my good friends @BrainwaveAdam and Cynthia Smith Tra, both passed within a week of each other about a year ago – way, way too soon. Bittersweet. I’m glad they have a legacy.

Right now, IMO, it's advisable to explicitly invoke plugins/skills in most models. GPT 5.5 seems to be a LOT better at knowing when to use models. Sometimes, I'll have one high reasoning model kick of several medium reasoning agents and have the high reasoning model pick the skills.

I’m pro skill, but still seeing some friction points. Opus 4.7 likes to deviate from them or save memories on what to do better or different next time rather than just doing the skill directly. Subagents sometimes seem to gloss over them too, so haven’t found delegating down to work out nicely. Curious if you’ve noticed friction like this or not really!

Working with AI? SPEND YOUR TOKENS CREATING SKILLS. The highest spend you can. Spend a lot of time curating and maintaining them. You'll be able to spend less on regular tasks, and you'll get better outcomes.
