@wolfyvelvet The fun "plot twist" is that their "true" hag apperance is the actual ruse. Their real apperance is like the tapestry but they take disgusting forms to fester fear and respect more easily.

the tapestry scene with the crones is just so fucking insane to me. The atmosphere, the music, the welsh accents, their sinister voices & the eerie tapestry that hides their ugliness. It’s just so creative & I love how you can actually see details of the crones’ actual appearance

I honestly don't get why people get their panties in such a twist over this. He gave them exactly what they wanted - a black character that could plausibly be in medieval Bohemia... ... and he portrayed them exactly as they would've been. The fact he was an insufferable prick you hated - and that you get the option to frame him for a capital crime later on - was completely coincidental, I'm sure. It was the historical accuracy that he cared about! Trufax.
