@MarcusCVance I don't say that as an insult. I'm sure it's a perfectly fine game. But no single videogame is actually made to "critique" anything. Barely any movies are made with real messages anymore, let alone videogames.

@MarcusCVance And you think about it too much. Helldivers was made because a corporation wanted you and a lot of other people to pay them $60. In this endeavor it achieved some measure of success.

Literally just hopped on Twitter while Helldivers 2 boots up. It's really easy to still enjoy it while understanding that it's a critique of the military-industrial complex (among other things). You (personally) obviously think about media after you consume it. Otherwise you wouldn't talk about it at all on Twitter. Otherwise you'd think it disappeared after you watched it like a toddler playing peek a boo. You just don't think of media as something humans made. As something made with intent. As something capable of eliciting feelings.

@S_Brightblade Sure would be wild if there was even one instance of them teaming up with xenos and performing well. That'd be wild, right? Like... that'd upend your entire argument. Guess we'd need to actually read 40k material to learn about that, though...

Negative reciprocity is what you see every day in 40k; factions operate according to an absolute ideological logic, whether they’re Chaos, the Necrons, etc. You can’t tell the Necrons, “Let’s coexist in this world teeming with life,” because that’s not their fundamental objective. You can’t have Tyranids as pets or in a nature reserve for Tyranids. The problem with idiots like you is that you have this notion that there’s some kind of shared modus vivendi between existential enemies. The Nash equilibrium is the concept that a player has no incentive to change their strategy even when an alternative COULD (potentially) benefit them, since there are no concrete guarantees that ***the other player will be altruistic***. Your idea that you can separate local doctrine from the one you use with hostile external agents is a death wish. Yes, the empire is oppressive, but it is the result of a scenario of permanent siege. There is no democracy, nor people dancing among rainbows, in a scenario of permanent siege and conflict. If you’re interested, you have several thousand years of human history to prove it.

Una cosa interesante de esta gente es que no entienden el concepto de reciprocidad negativa y menos en términos militares. Todos estos son influencers que cada dia demuestran que leyeron muy poco. Incluso científicamente tiene nombre: equilibrio de Nash.

Before you type "Well actually the Imperium IS the good guys because the other factions do X, Y, and Z" Please take a few seconds to consider if the Imperium also does X, Y, and Z.

Wild how media people at @starwars pay for ads on TikTok while mangling the captions up with the description. Just looks super messy and is an easy fix.

@PaulTassi Amazing dev team that personally connects with their audience, listens to us and builds on what we like. Amazing design team that stands side by side with Tenno and works out deals with them to make the best gear designs together. Music is perfect.. the voice acting.. it goes on.

@Kamp4u2 Not everything you don't understand is a strawman argument. This is me pointing out that you're failing to consider falsifiability in claiming that the Imperium is good because its extreme acts are necessary.

@MarcusCVance Will you answer the question or will you just go extremely narrow to the point you strawman my comment. When did I say EVERYTHING was needed? Secondly you foolish fool. It was still the Inquisition that went for the sterility camp and it WAS arguably needed becuase it was CHAOS

This is The Fool's position. Now you need to justify why every single action taken by the Imperium was needed for survival. Did The Inquisition NEED to kill that Chapter Master? Did the Administratum NEED to sterilize and enslave the Guard soldiers of Armageddon?
Mr.Throwaway6985@Kamp4u2

@MarcusCVance Answer the question vance, what does it take to convince you and for you to not disregard it as you already have done. You are like the rest of the people that spout this, actively ignoring the IN-UNIVERSE SETTING & the CONSEQUENCES/CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES. Just to go "le GI Joe"

@WarNever777 Feel free to delete this comment and reword it. As is, you're implying that being quiet is not, in fact, being more civil. Logically, being quiet (not making random threats) would be seen as more civil.

@MarcusCVance Do you consider it to be a useful observation that people are usually more civil in real life? People like me mainly because people like you stay quiet?

Do the people on the top of Hive worlds NEED to be so rich while the laborers underneath suffer? Every single instance needs to be justified in order for that stance to be true. Just a single shade of gray shatters it.

That's a fictional TV show. Assassins Creed is also fictional and has installments where you fight a magic Pope. I don't think anyone expects the characters be 1:1 historocally. Yasuke was a known historical figure long before the 2025 release of the game. Can you provide a firm example of changing the Wikipedia?

@MarcusCVance @AegonBIackfire @psycho_jackal I’ll give you two. Queen Charlotte being black because she is in Bridgerton and the actors from the show have stated that as a fact. Also, they changed the history of Japan to push the black samurai lie for assassins creed, even altering Wikipedia

It was two posts down on your page... You misunderstand. It SOUNDS COOL to say "I'd die for my family"/"kill for my family". But it's EASY to say that when there's a 0.001% chance it'll ever happen. You feel GOOD for saying that but never need to back it up. What are you doing to show your family you care for them and love them during the 99.999% of the rest of the time? Obviously not listening to your wife's needs if you're dismissing the things she deems important.
