I know it was a 18+ game going in but I remember booting it up years ago and getting absolutely flashed banged when I walked into one side room and with absolutely no pre warning the character was riding a big ass dildo.

Pay for convenience is the term you're looking for, and is the model in so many esports e.g. League of Legends; being able to buy a new champion with real money gives is not paying to win vs someone who grinds for a few hours to buy the same champ with in game currency

@VKlker People just aren't happy he gets to go to a psychiatric facility, which while shit, is much, much better than prison. It's not that the process isn't needed sometimes, they just doubt he needs it. It's like prolonging a better situation needlessly before he finally gets sentenced

Coco even starts off the series by blowing up her house and mom because she has been so removed from the process of magic that she can't conceive of it as more than a fun thing that makes sparklers. You have to teach kids to be wary of chemicals for the same reason.

Which, yknow, good. The console wars were stupid. Having them reduced to lighthearted jabs is best.

@NikhilNotNikki @CuddleCryptid @LogoSimian To be fair does anyone have games anymore? Nintendo has released a few games in the Switch 2's first year but they're as far as along as anyone. Xbox and PS5 still don't have any real system sellers.

At a time when consoles were trying to be more like PCs, the PS3 chose to have experimental parallelization that was intended to be more optimal for running games.
It was, however, less optimal for making games. The strange architecture meant the PS3 launch library was anemic. That plus a higher price than its rivals meant the console failed out the door.
Credit to Sony, they did turn the PS3 around. It was born with no games, but it did not die with no games.

@Goodnametaken @KaptainKrunch97 @Gleebus34 Cool stuff like shooting a guy who is reeling from being concussed by the breach? That isn't really gunplay unless you greatly shorten the stun time and they get their guns back up quickly, its just putting holes in paper targets.

@Goodnametaken @KaptainKrunch97 @Gleebus34 So? Rainbow 6 also had breaching and flashbangs in the later games, as does many room-to-room tactical games. It's usually a good idea to give yourself some edge before running through a doorway.
