FROM TODD STARNES: Four years ago I purchased KWAM with the intent of turning it into a locally-owned, locally-run radio station - a place where Memphis could go for breaking news. My family is from Whitehaven. I was born at Baptist Hospital. And I'm one of those people that wants to make Memphis matter again. This is my home. I am also a conservative. I believe in debate. I believe in hearing both sides of the story. That's why KWAM is a radio station that welcomes both Republicans AND Democrats. We hold ALL of our elected leaders accountable - Republican AND Democrat. And we are not afraid to speak truth to power. That's why folks like Tami Sawyer, Justin Pearson, London Lamar and Mayor Young are triggered by KWAM. They called us "white supremacist radio." Well, I want to officially invite all of them to come on-air and explain their heinous allegation. And we have a few questions for them as well. It is a shame that we live in a time when progressive DAs in our justice system will convict a former president over alleged payments to a hooker, while locally our justice system releases violent criminals onto our streets with low or no bail while they await sweetheart plea agreements. Despite the position some have put our country in, may God bless us with the wisdom and the strength to turn this bullshit around!
