According to the Daily Mail, a source close to Klay Thompson reveals that he allegedly complained about Megan being too ghetto and loud, saying, “I’m tired of this ghettoness.” 👀

🚨 BREAK: Morocco FA boss Fouzi Lekjaa says his country will NO LONGER bid to host African competitions. The nation is shifting its complete administrative and infrastructural focus toward global tournaments, including the 2029 Club World Cup and the 2030 FIFA World Cup. 🇲🇦

From @TheAthleticFC: The Trump administration claims Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan was denied admission to the U.S. due to suspected ties to "terror organizations." When asked to elaborate on these ties, the White House did not respond. nyti.ms/4xlPG9u

As someone who has worked on national security vetting, the Trump Admin barring Somali referee Omar Artan entry to the US for the World Cup leads to more questions than answers. Omar was vetted, approved, and issued a visa. Then he landed in the United States and was suddenly deemed a national security threat. So which is it? Either the system failed, or someone changed the rules after the fact. That's not how serious national security decisions should be made. The public deserves to know what changed.

@OliviaTroye For someone who has worked on national security vetting, it sounds very suspect that you don’t know what actually happened in this case or how custom enforcement works once you get here

@OliviaTroye You had to have been a political appointee. Anyone who ever really worked terrorism and/or vetting wouldn’t be surprised about a visitor turned away at port of entry (although I do agree, should be caught before a visa is approved unless it’s very recent derogatory info)

@TheBMA_SA @MissCooper1808 I feel sorry for those 37 minor children, being born in a livable country, only to go to such a country💔. It is what it is though, they at least know what to demand from their government as they grow up.

On Sunday, 7 June 2026, a further group of 331 Ghanaian nationals was brought to OR Tambo International Airport by the Ghanaian High Commission for repatriation. Following check-in procedures, the travellers proceeded to BMA Immigration for processing. Among those processed, 117 travellers were using Ghanaian ordinary passports, while 90 were travelling on Emergency Travel Certificates issued by the Ghanaian High Commission in Pretoria. In addition, 37 minor children born in South Africa were also processed using Emergency Travel Certificates. BMA Immigration officials further processed 25 asylum seekers who voluntarily submitted withdrawal letters to cancel their asylum applications. During the verification process, 170 travellers were found to have overstayed their allocated period of stay in South Africa by 30 days or longer and were consequently declared undesirable in terms of Section 30 of the Immigration Act, read together with Regulation 27(3)(c) of the Immigration Regulations. At the end of the process, 341 passengers, including 10 deportees brought by the Department of Home Affairs from Lindela Holding Facility, were cleared for departure. One traveller did not check in, but the remaining 340 boarded a chartered flight arranged by the Government of Ghana through its High Commission in Pretoria. The repatriation of these Ghanaian nationals demonstrates effective cooperation between the Government of Ghana, through its High Commission in Pretoria, and South African authorities responsible for migration management and border security. Commissioner Dr Masiapato commended the Port Management Committee and all officials involved in facilitating the operation. He further encouraged foreign missions to continue working closely with relevant government departments and entities to ensure the smooth and lawful facilitation of repatriation movements. "The successful processing of these repatriation movements reflects the importance of coordinated efforts between foreign missions and South African authorities. Such cooperation contributes to effective migration management while ensuring compliance with the country's immigration laws," said Commissioner Masiapato.

We kept our promise. No Ghanaian has been abandoned in harm's way. About a thousand Ghanaians have now been evacuated from South Africa by the Government of Ghana following the latest wave of xenophobic attacks. Last night, it was a profound honour to welcome our fellow nationals with love, warmth and the pride of being a servant leader in a great country which does not forsake our citizens, particularly in time of distress. But our work is far from over — we shall ensure reintegration with dignity, medical and psychosocial support, pursue compensation for those who have left properties and businesses behind, secure jobs for folks able to work and intensify our efforts towards achieving Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah's Pan-African dream of genuine African integration. I commend dedicated staff of the Foreign Ministry; our High Commission in Pretoria; colleague ministers; senior government officials; partner state institutions including GAF, GACL, GCAA, NADMO, GIS, GPS; the IOM; Ethiopian Airlines and the media for the flawless and efficient execution. We are grateful to Ghanaian CEOs for their remarkable partnership with us aimed at creating employment opportunities for our returning nationals. God bless President John Mahama for his inspiring and outstanding leadership and guidance. The Mahama Administration shall continue to defend the rights of our cherished citizens, serve with compassion and safeguard the welfare of ALL GHANAIANS. For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏🏾

@S_OkudzetoAblak Please teach your people that Tourism VISAs are for spending not earning, as a measure to boast growth in the tourism sector. We can't keep going through this every 18 months explaining to them they are not allowed to work on tourism visas.
