#PoliceMinistry [ATTACKS AGAINST GHANAIAN NATIONALS AND OTHER FOREIGN NATIONALS] The Ministry of Police strongly condemns the recent xenophobic acts of violence and intimidation directed at Ghanaian nationals and other foreign nationals within the Republic of South Africa. These actions are not only unlawful, but they stand in direct opposition to the values of dignity, equality, and human rights upon which our democracy is founded. South Africa is a constitutional state governed by the rule of law. No individual or group has the authority to take the law into their own hands, irrespective of grievances or frustrations. The Ministry of Police wishes to advise the members of the public that acts of xenophobia, violence, looting, or intimidation will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The #SAPS has been instructed to act decisively and without hesitation in addressing these incidents. All those found to be participating in, inciting, or supporting such criminal conduct will be identified, apprehended, and brought before the courts. The Ministry of Police calls on all communities to remain calm and to reject any attempts to sow division and hatred among residents of our country. The Ministry further urges community leaders, civil society organisations, and all stakeholders to work together with law enforcement agencies to prevent further violence and to promote dialogue and understanding. #ProtestAction ME

I'm not sure if this is the route they should be taking, but since they did... let's see where it'll end My guess? It'll end in tears Fact remains, there is no easy way to deal with illegal immigration, and this is the case everywhere in the world. Now, when it comes to illegal immigrants from other African states, it becomes even more complicated for a country like South Africa What the Ghana Ministry of Foreign Affairs needs to understand is that there is a huge number of Ghanian citizens who are legally in the country and have not experienced any xenophobia. They work, and obey the rules of the country. Those Ghanians will be the first to protect the South African government from this unfounded claim by the Ghanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs South Africa is one of the few countries where each and every Africa national is found. All 54 states in Africa has got a citizen in South Africa It'll therefore be hard to prove that South Africa is actively targeting other African nationals. This is one battle you can never win against South Africa, especially in a court of law. Ghanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will look like a fool after this... bookmark this tweet

@oku_yungx Just Google South Africa's top 10 trading partners. Not a single African country on the list. And you think we're scared of backlash from African governments that can't even feed their own people? You joking. Wait for more videos in the days ahead 🤣🤣

South Korea in the early 1960s had roughly the same GDP per capita as Ghana. South Korea industrialized through massive state intervention. Government-directed credit. Explicit industrial policy. Protected domestic industries. Export subsidies. Technology acquisition strategies that Western economists would call theft. A developmental state that looked nothing like the free-market model being sold to the rest of the developing world at the same time. South Korea is now the fourteenth largest economy on earth. Ghana followed the IMF program. Ghana is still Ghana. And the economists who designed the program that didn't work for Ghana will tell you with a straight face that South Korea's success proves the importance of good institutions and human capital. Not the protectionism. Not the industrial policy. Not the state direction that violated every principle they were simultaneously imposing on Ghana. The conclusion is always written before the research begins.

There are Ghanaian engineers at NASA. Ghanaian surgeons running hospital departments in London. Ghanaian economists at the IMF and World Bank, some of them administering the very programs that have failed their home country. Ghanaian mathematicians. Ghanaian architects. Ghanaian writers who have won international literary prizes. Ghanaian tech entrepreneurs building companies that work. When given access to resources, institutions, and an enabling environment, Ghanaians perform at the highest levels of every field. This is not an argument that individual talent solves structural problems. It is a refutation of the claim that the problem is the people. The problem is never the people. The people are everywhere. The talent is everywhere. The ambition is everywhere. The capacity is everywhere. What is not everywhere is the policy space, the institutional support, the geopolitical backing, the market access, and the freedom from externally imposed economic programs that systematically prevent the conversion of human capacity into collective industrial development. The difference between a Ghanaian running a department at a London hospital and Ghana having a functioning public health system is not the Ghanaian. It is everything around the Ghanaian.

@nxt888 Yup, and I know you'd rather have a company full of South Koreans than a company fully of Ghanans to accomplish anything.

the rich don't split bills, that's why they're richer than you. you go to a dinner & spend 30 minutes calculating who ate what, wealthy people just pick up the entire bill. no calculator, no awkwardness and give even more tips. one of my role model once taught me that the man who fights over small money will never be trusted with big money. cheap is the most expensive thing you can be, refuse to be cheap.

Ironically, it looks like these characters in South Africa are so eager to give even the likes of Donald Trump a very legitimate reason to use to attack the country. It is sad that South Africa, Africa’s biggest beneficiary of solidarity and, perhaps, a country most economically prepared to benefit from Africa’s single market is rather the notable one standing up violently against free movement. The tone of the President’s own state of the nation address this year did not help.

🇿🇦 JUST IN: Xenophobic mobs rampaging in Durban, South Africa, are chasing foreign nationals through the streets in what has turned into a full-blown vigilante hunt. What started as a so-called “clean-up” has spiraled into fear, chaos, and targeted attacks, with reports of SAPS presence as crowds pursue “illegal foreigners.” #XenophobiaInSA #StopTheHate

Indian YouTuber Sourav Joshi, who built a luxurious dream home at just 25, is now facing unexpected challenges despite his massive fame and earnings. He designed a very modern and smart house for himself. However, in a recent vlog, he shared that sometimes a “dream home” can turn into a source of stress for the family. Once, there was an issue with the house’s electricity and smart system. During that time, his wife Avantika Joshi got stuck in the lift while going to the second floor. The lift buttons stopped working, which caused panic among everyone at home. After a lot of effort, they managed to rescue her manually. She was so scared after the incident that she said she would never use the lift again. Even the elders in the family find it difficult to operate the smart systems—like code locks, automatic lights, and other gadgets—because of which they often have to depend on others.
