INSANE early in-person voting yesterday, with 21K Virginians casting a ballot.
This is 101.7% of the same-day equivalent of early in-person voting last year; I'm no longer ruling out the possibility that we will see higher turnout than the 2025 election!

Q: President Trump has railed against mail in voting, but yesterday he voted by mail in Florida. How do you square that?
MIKE JOHNSON: Look, I think some states have handled mail-in balloting well. Florida is a good example of that. They don't allow fraud. That's not true in other parts of the country.

Here is Trump praising and talking with Republicans about mid-decade redistricting between August 5 and October 17, 2025. Virginia Democrats did not call a special session for mid-decade redistricting until October 27, 2025. Glenn Youngkin can't ball.

On another note, the final votes are in for last week's VA special, and there was MUCH more left to count than usual.
Rs still outran Trump by ~4%. But in a Harris+6 state, they need more to win the redistricting referendum. Will need to flip some Dems.

Today, Rs outran Trump by ~10% in the VA HD98 special - an anomalous result when the average special sees Dems outrun Kamala by ~12%. This result aligns with early data for VA’s April 21 redistricting referendum, which shows MUCH higher turnout in GOP areas than Dem ones atm.
