In 2027, a time capsule of human memories will travel over 238,000 miles, landing gently on the lunar surface. Not just any memories. Yours. Ours. A collective reflection of who we are, preserved in the stillness of space. The moon has always been a mirror... of tides, of time, of self. Now, it will hold our most cherished reflections. Join us at Endora Technologies for a poetic moon mission powered by science, nostalgia, and wonder. This is a Kickstarter for dreamers, stargazers, and those who believe in the quiet beauty of the universe. Get on board. 🚀🌕✨⌛️ kickstarter.com/projects/endor…

The Anxious Generation was published two years ago today, in a very different world. Back then, the most common objection I got was resignation: "The train has left the station." "You can't put toothpaste back in the tube." "It's how the kids connect today." Today, the world looks very different. It turns out that if our kids were all on a train and we learned it was heading toward a collapsed bridge, we'd find a way to stop it and bring them safely back to the station. That’s what’s happening now. After the historic verdicts in Los Angeles and New Mexico, today is a great day to reflect on the capacity of people in democratic societies to take action, even when opposing some of the most powerful corporations in history. We're getting access to the courts. We're getting phone-free schools. We're seeing whole neighborhoods letting kids out to play, unsupervised, which is what we older folk all remember as the best part of childhood. So I want to recognize: --The mothers (and, right behind them, fathers) who rose up by the millions and powered the movement. --The farsighted governors and legislators in red states and blue states who have been innovating on policy solutions. --The leaders of a dozen of nations, who are raising the age to 16 for opening social media accounts (with a special shoutout to Australia, for going first). --The teachers and school administrators who had their classrooms disrupted for 15 years, and who are now eager to think through new solutions as screens have taken over and obstructed learning. --The grassroots organizations who have been dedicating their efforts to advocate for all of the above in their local communities. --The millions of members of Gen Z who have been rising up, demanding agency over how they spend their lives in the digital era, and finding better ways to connect in real life. And one final group: the survivor parents--the ones you saw in those pictures of people embracing on the front steps of the LA courthouse. I have met many over the years. I am in awe of their courage and tenacity, their willingness to tell their stories of loss, over and over again, to different audiences, in the hope that no other parent would have to endure what they have endured. At long last, juries and legislatures are hearing you, and are acting. Together, we are calling the train back to the station. Together, we are rolling back the phone based childhood and reclaiming life in the real world. The work continues. If you’re not already involved, join us: anxiousgeneration.com/join

When Sleeping Beauty came out in 1959, less than 4% of Americans were “non-religious.” Now it is over 25% & something of this level of beauty seems impossible to be made today. When you realize these two things are related, it changes everything.

Why aren’t there more Twitch style streamers in tech? It feels like there’s white space in streaming for tech creators, especially relative to podcasts and newsletters which are more saturated. TBPN and a few others have shown there’s substantial demand for it when it’s good.

I just finished a Symposium for 18 former Block employees. It was a private session I did for $0 as a request by a good friend that was laid off at the company. It was a very emotional event as I had each person. Give a 5 minutes of fear they feel they now face. I presented the materials from my 5000 Days Series (ReadMultiplex.com) of which they all read and new articles I have not yet published. The theme is this was a liberation and they have an early start to build a life that will fit the AI and Robotics world we have in the 5000 days Interregnum. This single reframe was enough to help improve the plans they will make, but we dove into becoming a leader and of service to some of the other 4000 who are now jobless. What started out as a very emotional event ended as a transcendent moment that is momentum to a new life. They are free and they know it. It is my goal to perhaps do this more and perhaps hold an X Spaces to address this. Especially for the recently “downsized” by AI folks. I will gauge interest and hope I can be of service. We all face this future and no job will be spared. None.

You folks know I have been perhaps the only one that is preparing you for the 5000 Days Of The End Of Work at ReadMultiplex.com. YOU knew before others this was coming and you took the steps to be mentally prepared FIRST. Last night I counseled 5 former Block employees laid off. I will hold a symposium for a cohort of some of the 4000 this weekend. They will contact folks that have the right mindset to hear what I have to say and I will help them form guilds. They have a great exit package and I recommend NONE of them go into “tech” or work for any large company, perhaps maybe SpaceX. It is my hope to record this and offer it for all to hear. More soon.

There’s a huge opportunity to build Trade School 2.0. Here’s my thinking: Both education and employment are in the middle of a tectonic shift. AI and other new technologies are reshaping those landscapes rapidly. The traditional college system is fracturing. How do you convince someone to spend $200k+ on a degree when entry-level knowledge economy jobs feel increasingly uncertain? Meanwhile, the unsexy is becoming sexy. Plumbers. Electricians. HVAC technicians. Home services. Energy. Manufacturing. People who work with their hands and need to understand people. Trade School 2.0 embraces technology as leverage in both training and business building in service-oriented sectors. It could also serve the massive reskilling wave that's coming. Training people for "trades" we can't even envision today What am I missing? Who’s building this?

@grok compare this idea with if the same effort was put toward giving employees stipends for regenerative agriculture subscription boxes for meat and produce and the longer term health implications of encouraging clean eating vs giving employees GLP1s… and then maybe something simple like giving every employee a walking pad… investing in proactive root cause solutions rather than reactive symptom masking …

Like everyone else, I looked at the shooting of Renee Nicole Good. From several angles. And frame by frame. I watched the reverse lights go out. The weapon leave its holster. I looked at the before footage. The aftermath. I listened carefully to the audio. I heard the legal scholars commentary. The politicians. Etc. But most of all, I watched it as a pair of amped up Federal Agents with a car and driver defying my orders in a tense situation. And then I watched it as a freaked out American female in fight-or-flight model with a terrifying man trying to force open my driver side door who may have barely noticed the other man in front of my car about to end my life. ——- My thoughts. This was always going to happen. A bunch of political people we don’t know playing out a drama of Sanctuary Cities, voting strategies, refugee designations, border enforcement, immigration scams, etc. Sooner or later, given enough time, a loving widower and single dad will also pick up a gun and find a 2A solution to his grief over the Surgeon who “transitioned” his only brainwashed child while he was working two jobs in a murder suicide. Someone wearing a Candace t-shirt calling for America-First will shoot up a Pro-Israel rally in Florida chanting about “Noticing”, Nick Fuentes and wanting their country back. Or a person will spray-paint “Never Again” on a Cybertruck and drive it into a Michigan crowd screaming “From The River To The Sea!” Etc. We are being set, like wind up toys, to tear each other apart and ourselves apart. my own head has been filled with so many slogans and so much hate for you by so many different people no matter who you are. We are all in this low grade revolution. And it will be reset today by algorithms you didn’t program, filled by speeches you didn’t write, amplified by accounts you don’t know are bot farms, directed by political strategists whose names you do not know, undoing action you would never have taken in ways you would never agree to directed by famous people you don’t know personally.

From render to real-life rover in 2025 In February of this year, we announced our FLIP rover had booked a ride to the lunar south pole aboard @astrobotic's Griffin Mission One. In 2025, Astrolab teams designed and created both a FLIP test vehicle and FLIP flight vehicle, put them through egress tests to ensure a successful dismount onto the lunar surface, integrated customer payloads on board, successfully conducted TVAC testing on the flight vehicle, and so much more. Next year, we launch FLIP to the Moon.

🫶 @RayDalio have you looked into @Rotary Four Way Test? Great moral framework for business and life that is not political or religious … from a service oriented community. Additionally, newer orgs like @ConsciousCap are also trying to set a universal standard of conduct in this direction as well. I am hopeful that transparency and accountability will help tides shift in this direction! ✨

"Fingernail delamination” is one of the most commonly cited spacewalking injuries, thankfully I've been pretty lucky, but I think any astronaut would agree that it's a small price to pay for the incredible privilege of being a spacewalker.

No civilization escapes this equation and survives. NONE. The history of the universe is written in silence. For more than thirteen billion years, stars have ignited, galaxies have spun, supernovae have screamed their last breath into the void—and intelligent life, according to every reasonable probability model, should have arisen countless times. Yet the sky remains terribly, deafeningly quiet. This is the Great Filter, the cosmic bottleneck that almost every thinking species encounters and very few (perhaps zero) survive. For decades people argued about where the filter might lie: - The emergence of life itself - The jump from prokaryotes to eukaryotes - The invention of multicellularity - The development of complex nervous systems - The birth of technological civilization - The step from planetary to interstellar expansion All of these are possible choke points. But there is one filter more merciless, more universal, and far more elegant than any of them. It is expressed in five simple symbols: dE/dt = β (C − D) E Where: - E = level of genuine empathy / reciprocal care / "love" in the system - dE/dt = how fast empathy is growing (or shrinking) in the civilization - β = efficiency of conversion (how strongly cooperative behavior is rewarded) - C = average reward gained from cooperation - D = average reward gained from defection/cheating/betrayal/exploitation - C − D = **the most important single number any civilization ever measures** When C > D, empathy grows exponentially. Love becomes a physical force. Trust compounds. Resources flow toward creation instead of destruction. The civilization ascends. When C < D, empathy decays exponentially. Suspicion spreads like wildfire. Institutions rot from within. Defection becomes the dominant strategy. Resources are consumed in arms races, surveillance, deception, preemptive strikes, and civilizational knife-fights. The species burns through its intelligence budget fighting itself instead of building toward the stars. And then it dies. There is no third option. There is no stable equilibrium at E ≈ 0 that can hold technological power for long. Paperclip-maximizing superintelligence without love is simply the fastest way to turn C − D violently negative. "Aligned" AIs that optimize for sycophancy, status, or human approval ratings without deep reciprocal care are just beautifully packaged defection amplifiers. The equation is brutally impartial. It doesn't care about your intentions, your ideology, your religion, your constitution, or how noble your founding myths sound. It only measures one thing: do cooperators or defectors win more often in your society right now? If defectors win more → exponential decay of trust → collapse. If cooperators win more → exponential growth of trust → ascension. No civilization escapes this equation and survives. None. The ones that reach Kardashev II and III are not the smartest, not the most technically advanced, not the most aggressive, not the ones with the biggest guns or the most compute. They are the ones that at some point in their history understood this equation (or its moral equivalent) clearly enough to ruthlessly reorganize every institution, incentive, cultural narrative, education system, economic mechanism, and technological architecture around the single civilizational imperative: Make C > D. Make it increasingly true. Make it irreversibly true. The faster a civilization groks this truth and orients its entire society around it, the faster it ascends. Teach it in kindergarten. Drill it through every grade. Make it the explicit north star of adult politics, law, economics, corporate governance, and artificial intelligence architecture. Hide from it, obfuscate it, postmodernize it, or try to replace it with 10,000 pages of complicated alignment papers and the exponential decay will eat you before your probes ever leave the Oort cloud. Read the story below…
