@blueprintdialog While the right to Assembly, Picketing, Demonstration and Petition are enshrined in the the constitution, this right is not absolute and should not be exercised to the detriment of others

The unity and inclusive development championed by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto are not just in words, but in action.
Across the country, ongoing government projects; from housing, roads and market infrastructure to health and education reforms, demonstrate this commitment.

The surest way to transform a village is to strengthen its schools.
On the invitation of my friend and fellow UoN alumnus, Eunice Maina, we joined stakeholders and the community of Rutune Secondary School, Mukurwe-ini Constituency, Nyeri County, for a special Sunday service followed by a collective effort to support the school's ongoing infrastructure projects.
Present were my colleague PS Alex Wachira (Energy), Nyeri Senator Wahome Wamatinga and Mr. Francis Ngotho from the Office of the Deputy President, among other regional leaders.

Kenya is a constitutional democracy and the law guarantees the right to assemble, demonstrate, and picket peacefully.
In exercising this right, however, it is imperative that all leaders and organisers conduct public gatherings in full compliance with the law and follow the established procedures for planning and holding such events.
We urge that these platforms be used responsibly, with due regard for the rights and freedoms of others.
Public engagement must remain peaceful, orderly and respectful. Any form of violence, incitement or lawlessness will not be tolerated.

Ongoing construction of the Gatunga ESP Market in Gatunga Town, Tharaka Constituency, Tharaka Nithi County, stands as a clear marker of the area's transition from a once sleepy village into a rapidly growing rural hub and an emerging regional centre for business.
The facility is designed to provide small-scale traders with a dignified, secure and structured environment, while strengthening local commerce and value addition.
As a modern multi-purpose market, it accommodates over 200 traders and is equipped with essential amenities including cold storage and dry stores, an ICT hub, social and conference halls, as well as inclusive features such as a lactation room, accessible ramps and modern sanitation facilities.
During its implementation, the project has already created employment for over 200 local youth and actively engaged jua kali artisans, injecting income into the community and building skills that will sustain livelihoods long after completion.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has supported coordinated implementation and ensured a secure, well-organized environment for both construction and future operations of the facility.

As Kenya advances reforms aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the ongoing construction works at the Mama Rachel Specialist Hospital – Mutuini, Nairobi County, are progressing steadily, with the project now at 91% and completion projected for late April.
Structural works are complete, while painting, both undercoat and final coat, has been concluded, paving the way for installation of fittings, medical equipment and final commissioning works.
The development is being overseen by the Ministry of Defence in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Nairobi County Government, reaffirming a coordinated national effort to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.
The three-storey, 400-bed facility is designed to serve up to 1.5 million patients annually. It will host critical specialised units including Renal, Burns, Trauma, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) services, significantly expanding access to advanced care.
Key clinical components include theatres, maternity and newborn units and an inpatient pharmacy on the first floor; ICU wards, High Dependency Unit (HDU) and renal services on the second floor; and a live surgery suite to support advanced clinical care.
The ground floor integrates radiology services (CT scan, X-ray and ultrasound), a high-capacity laboratory, consultation rooms, minor theatres, nutrition services, dispensing areas and specialised neonatal support through human milk banks, collectively positioning the facility as a major referral hospital.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration is also supporting delivery through stakeholder coordination, safeguarding of public investments and facilitation of timely implementation, ensuring the hospital is fully integrated into a responsive and accessible national health system. PRESS STATEMENT

UPDATE ON THE NYOTA PROJECT: MANDATORY BUSINESS SUPPORT COMPONENT, 2ND BUSINESS SKILLS CLASSROOM TRAINING
The first mentorship program targeting the NYOTA Project Business Support beneficiaries was successfully concluded on 8th April 2026 across all 1,450 wards in Kenya.
Over 5,500 mentors were engaged to support the beneficiaries during the handholding exercise, which included site visits, guided business talks, experience sharing and cross-peer mentorship. 97% of beneficiaries who received the first tranche of start-up capital participated in the mentorship program, demonstrating high entrepreneurial intent among the beneficiaries.
Notably, 99% of the beneficiaries engaged during the mentorship period have already established their businesses, with the remainder still in the process of starting their businesses. Insights from the mentorship exercise further reveal that 84%of mentees are first-time entrepreneurs with less than 1 year of business experience, underscoring the importance of continued mentorship and business support for the beneficiaries, even after the conclusion of the project.
The second mandatory classroom-based business skills training has been scheduled to commence on 20th April 2026 across the country. The training will address skill gaps identified during mentorship and enhance beneficiaries' ability to grow their businesses.
The business skills training will be conducted at the constituency level across the country, and the beneficiaries will receive invitations to the training through the official communication channels. Only beneficiaries who participated in the first mentorship program will be eligible for the second classroom business skills training.
Full attendance and participation in the second business skills training is a mandatory requirement for the beneficiaries to receive the disbursement of the second tranche of the start-up capital of Ksh. 25,000.
