By dropping down the charge from 9 to 8 MJ the cars instead of using the 350KW for about 25.7s per lap it will go down to 22.87s per lap. Losing roughly 38.9Kw per lap which is 50hp. So not only the cars are gonna be slower but they will have more super clipping. For me this is the dumbest decision ever. Instead they should increase from 9 to 11.5MJ in the quali only, and trust me it will be magic in Suzuka. In other circuits the number will be different. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@F1Techy When it was just racing fuel into a combustion engine, they imposed fuel limits. To do this with battery deployment is NOT an equivalent. Not gonna be fun to watch a bunch of glorified e-karts going around 6-7s a lap slower than recent years.....

@stelank05 Sure the rules are “clear” which are being changed from race to race.

@F1Techy they cant increase the harvesting above 9.5MJ though, as thats what the rules dictate and what the power units are designed to do

@Meadownator Instead of running out of the battery before the straight end, they will run out in the middle of the straight. So the teams will change the power deployment and the cars will be much slower.

@F1Techy The cars will superclip less. Instead of superclipping down the straights, theyll hit the 8mj limit faster, and stop superclipping

Note that the cars should be allowed to start with a full pack battery.
