There should be something like a Wikipedia for careers: Lists of career paths, how & what skills you'll need to break-in & rise up, how much $ you’d earn over time, lifestyle/happiness pros&cons, recommended paths based on interests & skills & personality type, case studies etc

@jasonschreier As someone who's done hiring before I think a lot of positions do have a massive range. If you get the ideal candidate with lots of experience, $$$, but you might take on a promising junior with hopes of training them up instead. Very different positions from a single generic ad.
