@GhostInMyShell3 @vergilsgrief Only hope is that it goes differently
English

@vergilsgrief @HakarisupremaC Em he is still broke, owned by power and works for a devil? He still has zero say in his life?
English

@HakarisupremaC He got a happy ending, he doesn't have people trying to violate his autonamy anymore and he gets to live with friends and develop now
English

@PremiumPicklish @DenjiUnleashed Thats just my view of course!
English

@PremiumPicklish @DenjiUnleashed His view of happiness was always someone caring about him, even if they used him as a tool. Thats the whole story… and hes still in the same spot. He was ‘happy’when Makima said nice things. ‘Happy’ when Yoru was using him. Now hes ‘ happy’ with power owning him and Nayuta using
English

@hollowyard @DenjiUnleashed True but i mean power still owns him and they work for Natuta… who knows?i guess thats the point…
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @DenjiUnleashed if he doesn’t lose power this time, maybe he won’t go down that same route
English

@hshsh26090 @YoungwiMn Basically the same thing…. Kinda makes the whole story pointless imo. Wish I didn’t feel that way though

Crimson Desert Has Pretty Rocks, But After Playing It For 12 Hours, I Don't Want To Go On kotaku.com/crimson-desert…
English

@DawnwalkerGame Will the game have a collectors Edition?😁
English

@jingelhymer Think the argument regarding marathon is not that simple. Cryo is great, i love the game. The issue is that cryo was the most hyped thing in the game, surely took a long time to make, but it isnt bringing new players to the game and there wont be a new map now for months
English

I've noticed a trend of middle aged adults who can't come to terms with the fact that they're no longer the targeted demographic and instead of just understanding that some thing just aren't made for people who can't invest time they'll instead go online and throw temper tantrums and demand things be made easier so they can play too, because they're in denial that they're no longer kids.
In all honesty its a hard truth to swallow.
You dont have the time you used to.
You can't play all the video games you want anymore.
That sucks dood.
But your complaining and demands that every game fit your schedule or be lowered to an easier difficulty that you can handle is killing them and ruining it for the people who the game is made for.
Luckily for you we live in a time where there are THOUSANDS of games to play that can fit you and your schedule or difficulty.
Just not this one.
English

@InfiniteGrunt The problem is it’s an AAA company owned by Sony. Do you think they will keep supporting the game if the player count stays this small? I love the game and map btw just worried for its future
English

That’s not a problem, that’s an objective good thing. May this game stay niche, even if people like me can’t complete Cryo for a few months.
For gods sake it’s literally the name of the game: It’s a Marathon, not a sprint.
Jake Lucky@JakeSucky
"It's the most elaborate extraction shooter map I've ever seen in a game... the problem is... is your 9-5 grandma and grandpa gunna be able to do it" Shroud says Cryo Archive in Marathon is incredible, but is it too difficult for casual players
English

@rumskibb @PaulTassi True but the marketing for the game pushed this as the peak and really hyped it. The main promo art for the game has a compiler yet 95% of players will never see one…. I love the game and will be grinding to fight the compiler so just hope it works out in the long run!
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @PaulTassi do you guys just want no difficult pinnacle content in video games? obviously if you make something really hard most of the playerbase wont be able to do it… this isnt exclusive to marathon
English

@CoolRunnersClub @bearki Yeah I agree! Plus cryo will get easier as time goes on and people figure more stuff out
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @bearki yea it’s fair feedback, like I said maybe the add solo in a month or 2, when they add new endgame maps etc.
but it just came out yesterday, lets give it some time damn lol.
English

@CoolRunnersClub @bearki I think its fair to want solos. Map is clearly designed for trios but since they hyped cryo as the peak of the game they probably should’ve made clear it would not allow solo play before the game launch. However we do have squad fill so at least everyone can try the map!
English

@bearki I really don’t get the obsessive requests for solo, when Bungie very specifically designed this map for trios.
maybe they can add it next season. solos can farm the old endgame map, after new ones open up. but with such low exfil rates they probably want to review and tweak it.
English

@ForcadoUALG @RyGilliam Yeah just hope it does well long term!
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @RyGilliam It's a completely different type of game, with its own place in the market, its own struggles, with its own set of expectations that only Sony and Bungie know about. Destiny was one of the most hyped games in the last 2 decades, Marathon fought an uphill battle to even release.
English

I've been thinking about this all day
I can't wait to play more. I'm going to kill the Compiler this season if it kills me
But I keep thinking "who is Cryo Archive for?"
Streamers? Raiders? Hardcore PvPers? People who can play 10, 20, or 40 hours a week? What's the goal?
🧵
Smojii@SmojiiTTV
While I really like the difficulty I do think some things need to be toned down a bit for the sake of normal people playing the game lol.
English

@ForcadoUALG @RyGilliam fair, like I said i love the game but as Ryan said destiny had a massive playerbase, Marathon does not. I just hope sony continue to support it/bungie even if the playerbase is small
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @RyGilliam Most Destiny players didn't see Rhulk, Riven, Atheon, and only saw the Witness because it was the finale of the saga (through an alternate mission).
It's day 1 of Cryo. More people will see it, but like Destiny, most players won't.
English

@PaulTassi Felt this exact way playing last night. Love the map. But was just discussing how important VOG was for destiny. It was hard but achievable. This is not that for the 95%. Also having a compiler as the promo art for the game when 95% of players will never see one seems odd to me
English

@ForcadoUALG @RyGilliam look at destiny, raids were challanging but once you had a few people on the team who knew what to do it was okay. My point is just that it is designed in a way that most players wont ever seen one. Not saying it should be easy, it should’nt. just worried about the games future
English

@GhostInMyShell3 @RyGilliam By that metric, the game needs to put a complier in your face yes or yes without friction.
English

@RyGilliam Totally agree, my friends helped me through my first raid years ago and it was a blast, hard but achievable. I then went on to do lots of raids. Cryo seems like a differnt beast, hoping i get to fight the complier at some stage but my friends may not be as eager
English

@GhostInMyShell3 I thought this would be Vault of Glass.
But raids (for better or worse) are pretty accessible as long as you have a few people who know what they’re doing.
They’re “hard” for Destiny, a generally complex-but-easy game.
You can drag anyone to Atheon. Not so much here.
English

@ForcadoUALG @RyGilliam I think the cryo problem is less about losing loot and more about the fact most players will never see a complier, something that has been hyped in so much if the promo for this game
English

@RyGilliam @GhostInMyShell3 And you might say "but you might get something out of Trials/raids and keep it" - correct. But everyone knew what they were stepping in when they bought an extraction shooter, and that is that loot is temporary.
