There’s one problem. LA County ALREADY developed this. In 2019, a 25-person workgroup collaborated for one year to develop the Care First, Jails Last report. Among the 114 recommendations, the roadmap calls for an independent pretrial support agency to connect people to services.

Summer Street Steps will be valuable but underwhelming, falling far short of what was sold. The so-called “Grand Staircase” was presented with a wide landing. The landing was presented as “Performance Plaza.” A false impression of expanse was created at both building corners.

As for the design, this $200 million boondoggle places pedestrians on a promenade with an obstructed view of Boston Harbor. Pedestrians will be subjected to emissions, splashed rainwater and more. All this deck width for what? To get shuttles to a bottleneck at Atlantic Ave?

Northern Avenue has not been identified by any transit org as being a key gateway for future Seaport public transit. In fact, the the NAB Task Force didn't include a future Congress St BRT to North Station in the scope of its own viability study.

@FortPointer How were they able to book prime hours in a public place for such a long period of time? How comfortable would it be to have a business outing /cook out, or an all hands meeting on what is left of the grass. I am in total support of any green space in the ever changing area.
