@contentgrabTV That would be neat but in practice it's like combining two different countries into one. They are built totally differently with different software, different architecture, design, etc. A field engine is the next major addition.

@The84Chambers @softdrinktv It's just this side of an idle game at this point. Its not really a management sim. It's VERY light. If by gameplay you mean a field engine, then no it doesn't have that. A field engine is the next major addition. It will not have user control of players though.

@mofongo_ongofom It's kind of a toy/idle game at this point but I love looking at it :D I should be uploading to steam of early access/open testing in a few days.

@firstbaseman I'm gearing up to take another pass at my broadcasts so I'm trying to see how others felt about it. Was it the fact that it was Berman's voice or just the fact that the game fluffed up the raw data in some fashion that resembled a show (though not necessarily voice talent)?

@GridironMasters Exactly. The simulation already produces the data (scores, injuries, trades, standings shifts). The weekly show just surfaces those events as storylines instead of menus, which made the whole league feel alive

For those of you who played NFL 2K5, what did you like the most about the weekly show? Did it keep you engaged and if so with what?

@GridironMasters Yep. It gave narrative framing to the normal franchise systems. Game results, injuries, trades, and the draft were presented like a TV broadcast, so the whole league felt like a living story unfolding around your team

@firstbaseman I started using a lot more of the built in UI functionality of my game engine (don't know why I didn't before) and it's made making screens and having button/mouse support a breeze.

@firstbaseman So basically it just gave a little narrative to each component of the season (game results, free agency, draft previews, injuries)?

@GridironMasters It made franchise mode into a living NFL broadcast basically. I liked seeing a league narrative unfold alongside managing my team, how it would create storylines across the league, and how it rewarded my curiosity about what was happening within the league

Got "speaking" to coaches working. The number of coaches you can see in the available pool is dependent on your class. Managers get more than all other classes.
