@JamieBonkiewicz Reading the Bible is what made me an atheist. If I hadn’t spent time actually reading it and just listened to sermons I might still be a Christian. But once you read the utter nonsense in that book it’s hard to take it seriously.

@CarlBrandt1495 I don’t doubt that one day they can but their situation is extremely dire. The people we send back don’t have a home or job to go back to, so we are setting them up for failure. Some could have family to help, who knows. It’s just a terrible decision and inhumane.

The onus is on the Haitian citizens to reform their government--by fighting if necessary. Fighting is how they achieved independence two centuries ago. The Dominican Republic went from a terrible dictator to democracy and economic growth...it would be racist to claim that Haiti is incapable of doing likewise...

Listen to what he says about his Haitian employees: "I wish I had 30 more. They come to work every day, they don't have a drug problem, they will stay at their machine, they'll hit their numbers, they're here to work. That's a stark difference from what we're used to."
