It is 1000x harder to make progress than to prevent it. And it's 1000x harder to execute than it is to theorize. The @Tesla team has my deep admiration because they do the hard things for humanity's benefit.

@SpaceX @cursor_ai Could be a highly accretive deal... with xAI Colossus, SpaceX could bring a ton of at-cost compute and (classic) vertically integrate to increase margins. And that's before terafab starts making chips... and Tesla produces power... and thennnnnn satellites in space heck yeah

SpaceXAI and @cursor_ai are now working closely together to create the world’s best coding and knowledge work AI. The combination of Cursor’s leading product and distribution to expert software engineers with SpaceX’s million H100 equivalent Colossus training supercomputer will allow us to build the world’s most useful models. Cursor has also given SpaceX the right to acquire Cursor later this year for $60 billion or pay $10 billion for our work together.

@GovTimWalz This.... is not a good idea. It'll just increase morbidity among a fragile class of patients, increasing burden on both taxpayers and professional caregivers / clinicians.

@SecWar Stupid decision. Akin to dropping PT requirements for troops if they don't feel like exercising.

Tesla is suing the state of North Dakota because the state won't allow the company to open any showrooms/service centers and sell direct to consumers. North Dakota law prohibits vehicle manufacturers from owning car dealerships and requires them to sell their products to franchised dealerships for resale to consumers. “Tesla just wants to be able to sell its vehicles in North Dakota, and not force customers who would wish to purchase a Tesla vehicle to have to drive to Minnesota or another state to do it,” said Ari Holtzblatt, one of Tesla’s attorneys in the case. Tesla is asking the court to declare the company does not fall within the definition of manufacturer contained in state law. The term is defined as a person who assembles or imports a motor vehicle and sells it to dealers in the state for resale. It's wild that in 2026, we still have U.S. states that won't allow direct vehicle sales to consumers. It hurts consumers and reduces choice.

@farzyness @mikepat711 TBH this is a great post, the logic holds and even w recent data it's moderately optimistic. I think the key signal would be early waiver of the federal cap.

@mikepat711 Why would I need to talk to you when I'm 100% correct: x.com/farzyness/stat…

Here's how I see Tesla's Cybercab strategy playing out with some optimistic predictions - LMK what you think $TSLA: - Q2 2026: Tesla builds first commercial Cybercab for internal use only as a Robotaxi in Austin - as designed and marketed at the We Robot event. No steering wheel and pedals - literally @wholemars's dream. - Q3 2026: Tesla ramps Cybercab line to ~100 units per week. By this point, Tesla is about 20%-30% of the way through the current 2,500 yearly Federal limit for vehicles without steering wheels and pedals. Tesla waits for resolution for their exemption to sell more Cybercabs - which they filed months ago. - Q4 2026: Tesla reaches ~1,500 Cybercabs per week by the end of the quarter, which maxes out their allowance for 2025. By now, Tesla has been monitoring the regulatory environment very closely and is thinking about where to allocate production capacity in Q1 of 2027. - Q1 2027: Tesla gets a Federal exemption to build more vehicles without steering wheel and pedals, and they have 20-30 metro areas approved for operation throughout the US. These areas can absorb ~20,000 Cybercabs in total and growing. However, by now, Tesla is reaching 4,000 Cybercabs per week, which means that they are able to satiate the total demand for a Cybercab without steering wheel and pedals in about a month. - Q2 2027: To ensure Tesla doesn't sit on idle Cybercab line capacity, Tesla launches a Cybercab or Cybercab-like vehicle that shares 80%-90% of parts with the Robotaxi Cybercab, but with steering wheel and pedals and a potentially modified form factor that is geared for cost-conscious buyers that want to get from Point A to Point B starting at $29k. Could be a 2 seater, a 2 by 2 like a Mini Cooper, etc. But most importantly, this vehicle will be built on the exact line Cybercab is built on and will be capable of Unsupervised FSD. This allows Tesla to continue ramping the line as planned without disruption to the entire Supply Chain that has been secured to reach their target of ~800k cars per year on the line. The biggest selling point of this vehicle - own a completely hassle-free car that you don't have to drive for ~$500-$600 per month. Includes maintenance, charging, insurance, and unsupervised self driving. - Q3 2027: Tesla continues to ramp the line without worry since demand for this new vehicle is off the charts, and the company is able to switch between configurations based on the status of regulations, markets that are in need, and demand from consumers for the variant with a steering wheel and pedals. Tesla reaches ~8,000 vehicles per week and ramping. - Q4 2027: Omar proudly wears the 'Farzad Was Right' T-T-Shirt on Christmas and sends a cute selfie to Farzad to celebrate Tesla's domination of the transportation market.

At this stage, if you pretend you drive better than FSD, you are in denial, I am afraid. And this is a (former) Robotaxi skeptic speaking.

🚗 800,361 km. Zero defects. Passed inspection again. In a Tesla Model S. You know… the “toy” that was supposed to die after a few years. 😉 No engine rebuild. No oil changes. No emissions drama. Just… driving. Meanwhile, the internet keeps repeating: ❌ “Batteries die quickly” ❌ “EVs don’t last” ❌ “Not real-world proven” Funny. My car didn’t get the memo. Maybe the real issue isn’t the technology. Maybe it’s that some opinions are just… pre-installed. Curious: Does anyone know a car in Austria with more than 800,000 km on the clock? I’d genuinely like to see it. More details here: 👉 sonice.at The future isn’t coming. It’s already parked in my garage. 🍿 #EV #Tesla #ElectricVehicles #MythBusting #Innovation

NEW: If Waymo gets its way, 2 million workers will be out of work. When Waymo gets a firm hold on a city, wages go down. Some drivers now have to work 12 hours day, 7 days a week just to get by. This isn't inevitable — but Big Tech is spending millions to make you think it is.
