Making Nuclear Power Portable

Coming to @INL this summer!

Coming to @INL this summer!

We’re excited to share that @LockheedMartin has joined us on our mission to mass-produce portable nuclear reactors. This strategic investment further oversubscribes Radiant’s current financing round and adds decades of defense expertise to our team of investors and partners. Lockheed Martin's investment, combined with the almost half a billion dollars we raised last year, reflects our relentless focus on the mission and deepening confidence from both financial and strategic partners in our commercialization strategy. Today's news comes one week after our PDSA was approved by @ENERGY, six weeks since we became the first nuclear startup to generate electric power, seven weeks since we announced our Series D, two months since our first pressure vessel arrived at our headquarters in El Segundo, and a little over three months since we announced we'll build our first factory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. All this comes ahead of startup of our first reactor this summer at @NRICnuclear's DOME facility at @INL.

Earlier today, @ENERGY approved our Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA) – the first granted for a full-power test under the DOE's new authorization pathway. This keeps us on track for start up of our first reactor this summer at @INL’s new DOME facility! 🎉 The approval of our submission, which we call the DOE Authorization Request for Kaleidos (DARK), closes out the second of three nuclear safety document submissions in DOE’s new Authorization Pathway for Nuclear Facilities, paving the way towards reactor startup.
