My father worked every day of my life from 4am to 9pm. I didn’t get to see him much. His sacrifice was the reason we made it in the USA. Now, through manufacturing and @M3Aerospace, I get to spend almost every hour with him. Breakfast talks about financials with mom, loading material, running the shop, dreaming at night. Manufacturing isn’t just about reindustrializing America for me. It’s given me an opportunity to reclaim lost time with my dad. 🇺🇸

Today marks our 30th month since we started production at M3. So far we have fully bootstrapped a business that has: Set up operations cross-border operations (Cd. Juárez and El Paso). Employed 20 people. Delivered 600+ jobs with more than 40k unique components. Onboarded with major clients like SpaceX. Selected for a major multi-year Navy program. Expanded to 13 CNC machines, 1 laser cutting system and launched our assembly division. Achieved ISO, AS9100D, ITAR and CMMC level 1 certifications. Developed partnerships with local trade schools, community colleges and universities to hire the next generation of manufacturing personnel. Developed MVPs for anodizing and welding divisions. What a journey it has been. 🇺🇸 🚀

Companies were quoting me 3+ weeks for a special cutter. Don’t have time for that. So I crossed the border, found a badass old school manual machinist and got the cutter done in 24 hours, and for 1/4 of the price. Being at the border it’s a cheat code for manufacturing.

I have 0% doubt that M3 will become a leading manufacturer, using cutting edge technology to support mission critical programs. But even if we don’t reach that $b mark, getting to see my dad and brother smile as they play with my dog at our facility, has made every sacrifice in journey worth it. I’m not just building to win, I’m building to leave an everlasting impact in my family, my community and my country. 🇺🇸

I'd love to add you to the list before it goes live. I can mark your company in "Beta" stage if youre currently running an invite only offering as well

Totally agree for simple 1–2 step processes. Automation solves a lot i.e, fabrication time, quoting, inspection, scheduling, etc. But aerospace coatings introduce cure kinetics. Epoxy crosslinking and polyurethane reactions obey thermodynamics, not calendar deadlines. A hydrogen bond forms at the rate physics allows. You can optimize the system but you can’t compress chemistry. That’s where 7-day turnaround becomes unrealistic for complex, flight-spec assemblies. Something many engineers don’t fully account for.

@mattfreed 7 days is doable for simple laser-cut or 3-axis parts. But once you add 5-axis geometry + aerospace coatings (epoxy primer, polyurethane topcoat, sealants), the cure cycles alone can break that timeline. Curious what complexity bucket these fall into.
