No apparent progress toward a state budget deal, but the sass level is on the increase. Murphy today on the school funding language in the budget bill: "I'm sure they've all, every one of the legislators on the committee, pored over this for hours before they took their vote."

Irony is when @GovMurphy lets @Linh_Tat in his public conference w @NewJerseyDOE today but not @FairFundingAC. She said hi on way in while #njfairfunding advocates @AndreaKatz & @JCavFro, parents, kids, @BobBeers4, @GinaMarieInNJ & more were barred entry. @NJSenatePres take note!

I have a simple approach: Fix what’s broken and make sure that everyone is paying their fair share. New Jersey didn’t elect me to paper over problems with the same failed policies of the past.

For the past eight years, Gov Christie cut irresponsible budget deals that weakened our economy and hurt our middle class, resulting in 11 credit downgrades. These budgets shortchanged priorities like @NJTRANSIT and our public schools by resorting to short-term gimmicks.
