Being in business makes you so numb to personal finance. Oh only $23.99/month for Netflix, sure, that's nothing for a SaaS subscription Totally wrong framing though haha

@Jmarkowitz10 Hey I have someone who recently launched a brand who's doing great. He's not using affiliates - all created ads, but he's crushing it right now. Happy to make the intro

Is anyone else concerned over 60% of all investments being passively managed? If everyone is just following price, who’s setting the price of stocks??

@iamd2dguy You just made me realize I want to hire one of those young guys going door to door to do sales for us. They know how to grind

Door-to-door sales isn’t a scam. It’s just vehicle for bunch of young hustlers out there trying to make a living and build something for themselves. Like every industry there are bad apples and bad companies. But most are great just trying to earn an honest paycheck. Rather than assuming it’s a scam, ask questions, negotiate, you can usually get a much better deal on the doors because they are coming to you What am I signing up for? Is there a contract? Is there a cancellation fee? What happens if I still have bugs? How often do you bill? Do you put my card on file? You can always say no. You can even say it a couple times. You can be rude or nice, it doesn’t really matter. These guys get told no all day long. Being rude will probably motivate them more than it bothers them.

this year I stopped neglecting my health. I don’t think it’s a coincidence @beehiiv just had its best quarter in history I now realize that I'd been burnt out for most of the past 5 years: > barely sleeping > couldn't focus > persistent anxiety so I finally made some changes: > cut coffee entirely > meditate every morning > no phone for first hour of my day > read every night before bed > non-negotiable 8 hours of sleep today I feel better than ever before which means I can think more clearly, focus for longer, manage stress better, and generally bring the best version of myself to work every day the past 8 months at beehiiv reflect it: > dropped 10 new products at Winter Release Event > hit $30M ARR (now adding ~$1.5M ARR every month) > launched native podcast hosting and monetization > gearing up for biggest day in @beehiiv history on July 16th prioritizing my health has been the best investment I've ever made in the company 🙏

I avoid LinkedIn at all costs. Too many people shitting on others, and arguing in comment sections while their biz currently makes less than 2k/m. Brother, you've got bigger things to worry about rn.

@DaveVerse True. But flipping the burgers can be a step to something else. It doesn't need to be the end. Businesses that use entry-level labor aren't designed to help people move to their next level. That's the problem

Honestly, I think most businesses are built to use people up instead of building them up Breaks my heart

I need to hire a freelance video editor for YT content (about 15 mins) and shorts. Should I look on upwork? US based or offshore matter?

@ecom_cork The right chief of staff is huge. In the process of changing my life. It's made it so I could disappear and no one in the business would even know. We'd stop growing, but the delivery of our service wouldn't be affected

Any founders out there had massive benefit from a Cheif of staff or executive assistant? My biggest resistance is having more work making them do work

are you still using those pink, yellow, & blue packets to sweeten your daily cup? it was wrecking my stomach last summer and I realized there was no functional option out on the market so naturally I spent the last year creating one 🤷‍♂️
