@kirawontmiss Ummm, we have ACs? Not that most of us sleep with them on, we do, at least care a bit for the planet unlike the USA averages who keep the AC running 24/7, on the lowest setting. And USA is NOT that hot, like Mediterranean, for example.

That... doesn't even make sense. For future reference, people who call everything gay are almost certainly closeted homosexuals. It being on your mind enough to blurt it out here is a dead giveaway and everybody reading this comment and presumably all your other homo-obsessed commentary will only be thinking that about you henceforth. Maybe temper it down if you want to keep yourself in the closet.

@escapefrommelos Most over-made-up Chinese look truly vile, with freakish stuff going on all around their eyes. the cartoon nails it. They're almost as horrific as the average British woman's attempt at makeup, which obviously cannot be surpassed in hellishness.

Why throw Israel under the bus?
🌻🇺🇸 🇮🇱 🧡Pro USA & Israel Reagan Republican@lou_twin

Vance Drops the Pretense JD Vance's Jew-baiting is no longer hiding in plain sight. It’s no longer something that has to be inferred from his choice of anti-Semitic allies, his serial flirtations with the rhetoric of the podcast right, or his clear displeasure whenever the Jewish state asserts itself in a way that conflicts with his political faction's priorities. It’s now out in the open. “If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government,” he said today, “I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world.” Vance then added that Donald Trump is “the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time.” We get it. Everyone hates Israel, and maybe they’re all onto something. Vance has been itching to say this for a long time, and Donald Trump’s failure in Iran finally gave him the opportunity. The president is letting JD be JD. Turns out, he’s exactly who I thought he was. Vance’s premise, it’s worth noting, is false. Israel has relations with dozens of countries and maintains significant strategic partnerships throughout the world, even with countries that criticize it obsessively. And while Vance claims that Israeli cabinet members are personally attacking Trump, they’ve merely commented on the Iran deal and what it means for Israel. But the real problem here is moral. Vance's formulation is intended to put Israel in a position that Jews know all too well: that of a people whose fate depends on staying in the good graces of a powerful ruler. And Jews in this circumstance, Vance was saying, should really know when they’re pushing their luck. The vice president wasn’t describing an alliance. He was describing dependence—a dependence that strips a nation of the right to disagree. The logic runs as follows: Because Israel needs American support, Israel must refrain from criticizing the American president. Because Trump is sympathetic to Israel, Israel should suppress its own judgments whenever those judgments conflict with his. It doesn’t matter that Israel hasn’t let a day of Trump’s presidency pass without expressing its gratitude for his support. What Vance is talking about is obedience. That’s not how alliances work. The United States has never expected Britain, France, Japan, or any other ally to surrender its voice in exchange for American protection. In a healthy alliance, partners are free to speak candidly when interests diverge. The alliance works because it’s rooted in shared aims and shared values, not because one side has purchased the silence of the other. But Trump doesn’t speak the language of shared values and, anyway, it’s time Israel was reminded that it’s subject to different rules. So Vance was instructing the Jewish state to remember who its protector is. Of course, Zionism emerged, in part, as a rejection of the idea that Jews should live at the mercy of leaders whose favor could be granted one day and withdrawn the next. That’s why anti-Semites can’t tolerate it. And the anti-Semites loved Vance’s reprimand. The anti-Jewish left cheered along with the groyper-adjacent right. “Finally!” Cenk Uygur wrote on X. “This is the kind of energy we need from our leaders. I hate to give @JDVance credit, but he’s obviously correct here. It’s infuriating to see them assume they can boss us around when we’re their only remaining ally and they owe us everything.” Actually, Israel is the only country “at this moment in time” that’s been unwavering in its support for the president and the only country that’s proved itself fighting alongside the United States in ages. You could say it’s the only powerful true ally that this administration has. And it will not be bound by the terms of Trump’s Iran deal or chastened by the scolding of JD Vance. Abe Greenwald is the executive editor of COMMENTARY. Today’s Podcast JUNE 18, 2026

Tucker Carlson’s new line is Israeli Jews are more bloodthirsty than Nazis. Yet for some reason, some elected officials still defend him. He is a complete nut case and I really have such a bad opinion and view of every Republican official who hasn’t disavowed Tucker. I just have such a bad feeling about everyone who won’t disavow him. It only grows by the day. Just pure disdain and it’s going to take a lot to change my mind.

It's a little disappointing to see so many formerly creative people descend into outrage impression farming and reaction content over the Destiny fallout. Remember what made people love your channel and your community to begin with. It's really easy to lose sight of that when the space is filled with voices on opposite hills screaming back and forth at each other. The Destiny community has ALWAYS been at its best when it's welcoming, charitable, and pushing the boundaries of what a community can accomplish in the creative content space. As Deej used to say in his posts and blogs, "be excellent to each other."

Re: “Bug Bar” As we get into our last string of hotfixes, the team is trying to squash as many bugs as possible. You’ll see some ability bug fixes next week, and a slew of other things touched in a later update, but we are nearing the final delivery of patch notes. Some issues may not be addressed due to “risk” and live on. Here are some of the questions we’re asking ourselves in Traige as we process your reports: could a potential fix break the game further? Can’t take it. Could a change/nerf enjoyment of the PvE game for the sake of balance? Likely won’t take it unless it’s egregious or trivializing buildcrafting. As an example, Truth is a bit too hot, leading to a handful of guardians just… standing around and shooting rockets without a thought in the world. No mods, no buildcrafting. Just toppled raid bosses. We can get a tiny ammo backpack nerf in to at least have folks worry about picking up some bricks during DPS, but we don’t want to crater the thing. What if an armor set looks a bit buggy? While we hate some rough edges impacting your style, we may not be able to address it as a rushed fix could tarnish your looks even more. What if Hunters are 1-shotting opponents in pvp? Let’s try to get that addressed asap, tested, and released. What about the Titan Bubble or Stackening trivializing all of our endgame difficulty content? Let folks have some fun, but get it patched up before final. SRL ties feel a bit frequent, can we tune them? Well, if that breaks placements do we have time to revert the change? What about a few months down the road, what if we regret making the change because it’s leading to worse experiences with various connection qualities? Leave it as is. 4 way ties are a bit wonky… but kind of fun! Players don’t like a pvp mode in rotation, can we change how often it appears? Likely not - folks may need it for triumphs, or we’re seeing more players playing it than players vocally frustrated by it. It’ll rotate out after a few days. Leave it be. There are many, many convos like these happening daily. Team’s doing everything it can to address your reports while setting up for the long haul. After our final patch (TBD), you may see backend server maintenance for general upkeep, but any patch vehicle will be restricted to severe issues like widespread crashes. If we find gnarly crucible balance issues or “1-shot the pantheon boss with little investment” builds, we’ll likely lean on disabling items, abilities, or whatever the culprit is for the problem at hand. It’s not the best solution, but we have the levers to keep things a bit stable. The finality of all this is a bit rough to get into, but wanted to set expectations appropriately. We aren’t going to turn a blind eye to your reports. May be limited with what we can do, but we’ll still try. Please do not hesitate to continue reporting issues to our help forums over on bungie.net. Thank you all for joining us for MoT. The team was overjoyed with seeing your reactions, videos, art, stories, and love - and many have been loving the moments shared with you in-game. Not all of us are public facing. Every so often, you may have a D2 dev team member emoting you a hug or a heart after overcoming a rough Nightfall boss and you don’t even know it! Whether they’re an employee or just a community member… show ‘em some love with your favorite emote too. Appreciate you, always. See you out there. 💛

@franmirabella Marathon neutered my enthusiasm the second they revealed the “hero” aspect. For me to invest in a long-term, high-stakes, “forever” game, I need to get attached to MY character. Unlocking what is essentially new shaders for a selection of prebuilt heroes is NOT it.

No free week... No sale price... No PVE special mode... for Marathon will "turn things around." The player base was set via the launch and first server slam. In PlayStation console terms, Marathon is reportedly closer to Saros in sales. For total sales, it's more of an Astro Bot, Returnal, or more of a stretch, a Death Stranding 2 level success. (I am not suggesting long-term sales similarities.) Bungie's way forward for Marathon is threefold. To slowly convert players. To monetize dedicated fans; use its live-service engagement to convert microtransaction and battle pass sales. ...And most importantly, if Sony is willing, to develop a significant update "moment" for 2027. Even that would unlikely create a massive playerbase change save for a miracle. So, if it's going to live on for years it will have to be more of a "Rainbow Six Siege" path. And even that isn't likely, as the ecosystem and player taste has changed significantly. All this is to say, indeed, between this and Destiny 2's final updates, Bungie has found itself in a situation where income will be low for years (versus costs). It's now a PlayStation portfolio studio. And the question is how much may it have to be downsized versus how many $$ 100s of millions Sony is willing to invest in the next big thing(s).
