My guess is they revisited all console versions while creating the Xbox and NS2 ports & optimized things.

Switch 2 runs 3rd party games quire impressively in all honesty. The biggest notable difference in all the comparisons I have seen is the hair quality.

@_Jorge_Lo @BringBackBanjoK FF7 rebirth graphics mode for PS5 is 2160p natively. That means it’s pushing 4x the pixel resolution (no upscale) of the ai upscaled (DLSS) NS2 docked mode at 1080p which runs internally at 720p actually. So 2160p vs 1080p 🧐

Comparing the PS5 performance mode which pushes 2x the fps @ 60fps vs NS2 docked 30fps with optimizations in shadow quality, foliage density, instead of like 4 like fps, native 4k 2160p ps5 at 30 vs NS2 1080p at 30 docked.

@_Jorge_Lo @BringBackBanjoK Depending on the F stop being simulated typically f/8-f/22 you get high motion blur & the lens 50mm for strong bokeh depth of field, turn both off & the image will be very sharp. Considering it’s the same RE engine as Requiem that should be your indicator it’s a stylistic choice.

@VoxelPrismatic @wariocolosseum The ps5 version has more advance depth of field, her face is picking up the blue tones from the holographic element emitted from her hand (aka bounce Raytraced lighting) and the hair density is a lot higher. NS2 version the hair has some hard polygon edges.

@_TheImpureKing_ A friend got me to buy this, never played the first one. I tried getting into it, but the entire “Dick Tracy” aspect of it with the case board and other elements like the back and forth between characters took me out of the experience. The pacing is all over the place for me.

Were you ever REALLY excited to play a game and then once you did…for some reason you just weren’t in the mood for it? I’m super early into Alan Wake 2. I was super hyped to play it. But last few times I fired it up I just couldn’t lock in. Maybe just not in the mood atm?

@xMBGx @cLOUDluk3 Not just that, Sony paid for exclusivity, provided technical support and paid for marketing. SE definitely has some unrealistic expectations. 3.5 million on a single console with at the time 40 million install base is very good.

The Xbox Fanboys tell you 600K sales of a $40 game with a 30 million install base is very good But 3.5 million sales of a $70 game on a 40 million install base is failure.

@BrookAshley999 @Genki_JPN For us that played it, it may not be a worthy purchase or remake. For potential new fans and a younger generation this maybe what introduces them to the franchise.

I mean, I'm an MGS fan and I have absolutely no real interest in the Delta remake. I already own MGS3 like 5 different ways and played it like 50 times. On top of that, the HD version looks great, so there's no real reason or excuse to need a remake anyways. Whole thing seems like a waste of time. I'd rather they work somehow on porting MGS4, which will be a herculean task.

Final Fanatsy 16 is not on the charts because Xbox doesn’t have enough buying power. FF16 is #4 on the Xbox chart meaning it’s one of the top games bought on Xbox, but nowhere on the overall chart. Meanwhile Death Stranding 2 is #1 on the PlayStation chart making it the top most bought games for PlayStation and #2 on the overall chart showing true buying power in the gaming market. Long story short, Xbox gamers don’t produce enough buying power.

Xbox is drowning players with new game releases on gamepass, so there is no thirst for a 2 year old game. Then, it launched at 80e (60e for barebones no dlc), which is simply unacceptable for now. (around 20 bucks for a steam key) When prices drop, more sales will happen. That's 100% squenix's fault.

The base game is $50. That is pretty fair imo and you still justify that it can’t sell at least 250k minimum at $50

the story here is that FF16 simply shadow-dropped, without ANY marketing campaign, with a very expensive 80e pricetag for a 2-year old game, while DS2 has been marketed for OVER a year, and its a new game. Add in the fact that xbox is offering A FUCKTON of great new games on gamepass, while ps5 players starving for a sony game, and that's about what the story is
