Who is a True Genfren? A Genfren is an active community member of the Genlayer Ecosystem. This is someone that shows up when it matters. Here are moments that elevate your Genfren Status. 1. Genlayer AMA: The Genlayer AMA happens on X, every Monday at 2PM UTC. This is where Genfrens are given a chance to ask questions regarding Genlayer and the team takes their time to answer these questions. Hence, showing up for the AMA is your first step to becoming a Genfren. 2. Regional Channels: It is important for Genfrens to connect with fellow Genfrens in their regions, this way they learn, connect and grow with other Genfrens in their region. These channels host weekly Quiz for Genfrens as a way of learning about Genlayer while they connect. 3. Gentalks: Gentalks come up every Wednesday at 2:30pm UTC. And this is an avenue to catch up with updates in the Genlayer Ecosystem. 4. Trivia Quiz: This happens every Tuesday at 1PM UTC, it covers general questions on specific aspects like movies, novels, countries ETC. it is an avenue for Genfrens to test their knowledge and also spend time with other Genfrens. 5: Blockchain & AI Quiz: This happens on Wednesday at 1PM UTC and it covers questions surrounding Blockchain and AI. It's really fun to be there. 6. Genfren Quiz: This is your Ultimate test of your true Genfren status. The Genfren Quiz is rumoured to be the most anticipated event in the Genlayer Ecosystem. It comes up every Friday at 3PM UTC. It covers 10 questions related to Genlayer. Also, it extends to activities/events that has taken place during the week. So it is not just a test of how well you know Genlayer, but also how well you're paying attention to everything happening in the community. Getting a perfect 10/10 earns you the Genfren role for a week, hence you True test of your Genfren Status. 7. Neurocreative Contest: This contest is where Genfrens comes up with high quality content of their choice from memes, articles, threads, infographics, videos Etc. to help other Genfrens learn more about Genlayer. Every Genfren can make 4 entries per week and all entries are to be submitted in the #contentsubmit channel. Winners are announced every Tuesday at 12pm UTC and they earn the Neurocreative role with XPs. 8. Genlayer community space: This is my favorite event after the Genfren Quiz. It comes up at 1pm UTC on Saturdays and is hosted by @stargirl_hills and @0X_CUPZ . It is basically an avenue to learn more about Genlayer, ask questions as well and also get to catch up with other Genfrens. Meanwhile the hosts have been cooking back to back and bringing in other recognized Genfren to make the journey easy. 9. Other Events: There are other events such as Smart cash at 3:00PM UTC, Thursdays; Gartic.io at 1:30PM UTC, Tuesday; ChessLayer at 1pm UTC, Sundays; AllbrainSpokerHands at 2:00PM UTC; BOMB party at 3:30PM UTC (Exclusive to Brain role only); Kirks at 3:00PM UTC, on Saturdays. These events/Games are XPs free, and they're for fun and an avenue for Genfrens to connect. 10: Contests: To keep the Genlayer community on their toes @RuzgarFlns organizes contests for Genfrens with XPs up for grabs. Good morning and happy weekend CT I’ve been seeing clips and posts from BUIDL Asia and one thing stood out, not what was announced but what kept coming up. The conversation around scaling has been very predictable which are faster execution, higher TPS, lower latency and every new system tries to push those numbers a bit further and that became the default way progress is measured. But lately, it doesn’t feel like that’s the main focus anymore as even when teams talk about scaling the conversation keeps drifting toward things that sit underneath it. How data moves, how nodes stay in sync and why performance still feels uneven even when execution is technically fast. It’s not loud or direct but it keeps showing up and that usually means something is shifting. Not because someone declared it but because enough builders are running into the same limitation at the same time. When that happens the narrative changes quietly before it becomes obvious. Execution isn’t being abandoned, it’s just no longer the interesting problem. The harder question now is what happens before and after execution and whether the network can actually keep up with itself as it scales. That’s a different kind of problem and it feels like that’s where attention is starting to move. @get_optimum
