@Jbandos hmm. i thought between that and the ruidus appearance in s1 that it was a reference. but yes it may have been only partial, too late in development to do a character model but a background painting was doable.

@Lesbinferi So campaign 3 premiered only like three months before LoVM s1 did and even with C3 being prerecorded animation lead time doesn’t usually allow for that brief a turnaround on character models

Matilda’s ears aren’t cropped in the tree in LOVM season 1 so it’s probably an internal character design consistency thing that Laudna’s ears aren’t cropped in LOVM s4
I’m sure it will be different in a different art style in the eventual BH series I’m not too worried

when LoVM s1 was in production, Matilda wasn’t named or thought to be as important a character she’d become, Laudna. So yeah her s1 design didn’t emphasize the ears, but when it’s HER show I’m sure they will
